Sunday had it's extraordinary games in the Big Dance, don't ya think?...ah, the Sweet Sixteen...has such a beautiful ring to it...the state of Oregon is gushing all over, as not only the Guy's Ducks, but the Lady's Beavs, moved into the next set of frays...way cool...

The last game played was the Oregon/St Joseph one...and it was a donny brook...ha ha...could have gone either way, right?...a huge 3 ball was the diff...it finally hit me...their hoops team parallels their football team...now...as, like their FB, they have no power game...just a lot of finesse and quick hitting...almost gone from the way that basketball is anymore, is the big man play...now, it's more of dribble drive and dish...sometimes attack the hoop...this is the Ducks...well...on they go to take on the Blue Devils of Duke...hmmm...

From the super elation of winning by a 1/2 court shot, but two days prior...to the ultimate humiliation of blowing a 12 point lead in the final 44 seconds of the game....Northern Iowa...waltzing thru Texas A&M...skipping and dancing along...and then...BOOM!...turn overs and Texan prayers...and questionable calls...their lead vanished...went to double OT...and it was over...history was made...not the type you want to be saddled with....

The X factor...a lot of hype for this team...and...like MSU, another no. 2 seed...a crushing defeat...to a higher ranked team...this time it was Wisconsin...really?...the bloody 3 ball did them in...I must say, that too many of these highly paid expert coaches, have no clue as to protecting a lead...the use of the foul prior to allowing a dude to shoot a 3...somebody must be telling them that it is a sin to use it...it ALWAYS works...this is the X factor...bye bye Xavier...

Finally, in the games for Sunday...the team that I thought shouldn't have made it...won again...easily...with their 2-3 zone...the Orange...Syracuse...confounding the Mid Tenn boys...actually, they shot so poorly...it made the game a joke...on they go to face the Zags...guess who I'm a rooting for?...

Other stuff...

The Prez and his family flew into Cuba...this is ground breaking, kids..say what you want, Repubs...but this is a GOOD thing...and about time...lawdy, this country needs a lot of help...and I'm not talking about us...

The Arnie T in Orlando...Jason Day...the Aussie...who now lives in Ohio...won it...BTW, almost all the golf dudes move into the US from abroad, right?...something about a better tax break with all the millions of $ they earn...bring THAT up, you Prez wannabes...anyway, the highlight of one of my news sources, didn't mention Day, but that Rory had a nice last round...get a life...

What do you make of a comment by a play by play guy, who corrects someone in the same biz?...it was a true statement...but is it not an unwritten rule to not do so?...hmmm...maybe not...he was right...the guy was blatantly pulling for one team...do we call that "homering?"...maybe he had a wad of $ on the team...naw, that would never happen...

I quickly alluded to the gals Big Dance...I do not follow it...sorry...I can't do it all...but, I am happy for the OSU Beavers in their quest for the championship...it's just that UConn dominates that so...

The SDSU/UDub game in the NIT is tonight...I thought it was last nite...like no one carries these results...anywhere...

Stop the press!...the Pads won a Cactus game...beat the Bums...what?...scored 12 runs...all in one game...what the heck?...

As we were basking in sunny, fun weather....I listened to some peops in NYC talk about the snow they were getting...isn't it spring?...

The bloke who talked about the tennis world from the desert...in essence said "thank the world for the guys, as they carry the sport"...of course, the gals were upset...who wouldn't be?...what was he thinking?...

So today...we have this unwanted work done on our heating/cooling system...by the building...work that we already had done...but...it now must be redone by the building's dudes...got that?...so it is conducive to all others...massive thing...as they have to take out a door to get at it...

Sammi won't be happy...
