Punxsutawney Phil

Of course you believe in this...will Punxsutawney Phil see his shadow...or not?...Groundhog's Day...grounded in Young Township, Pennsylvania...I'm gonna condense the name to Punx, for writer's advantage...you see Punx, the city has a civic festival on this date, February 2...supposedly started this gala event in about 1887...and this groundhog, Punx, emerges from his temporary home on Gobbler's Knob...geez, this set of towns are all very what?...came from what European nation?...anyhoo...if he sees his shadow, he returns to his home...if not, he dances with the others...an EARLY SPRING is announced...so, what about today?...no shadow...here comes the flowers, and well...HOORAY!...just a slight side note...his accuracy is at 39%....35% higher than what trump says...everyday...

You just knew I had to say something about that old foo, didn't you...and I was not talking about Punx...

One more thing...just realized that there were at least 6 other cities that have a groundhog special day...but, this one (Punx) may be the most famous...and uno mas...the life span of a groundhog is six years...aren't you glad you read me today?...

NBA...the Lake Show show up in Boston, to play the number 1 ranked team in the league...blowout, right?...and to make matters a bit more simple...both the Brow AND LeBron are sitting out...hangovers...or something....guess what?...the others, played like young stars...and whupped the Celtics, who were like aghast!...or gassed...but, were run over by the youth of what was left over...to be sure, with James and Davis in the LA lineup, they are VERY slow...interesting...never ever bet on this league, too...

A 3 point shoot out with the reigning stars of the NBA and WNBA is gonna happen...Saturday, Feb 17...in Indy...ah ha...Stephen Curry and Sabrina I'O'nescu....well, she is a Duck...how about that...two of my favs in the sport...

So this is Black History Month...terrific...what do they do in Florida?...didn't DeSantis of Florida (DF) stop all teaching of Black History?...wonderful governor...hey, how come there isn't a Native American History Month?...ah, Indigenous Month...well, Injun Month?...something like that?...Red History Month?...

You want to go to Vegas for the Sooper Bowl...LVIII...acc to USA Today, the average cost of a hotel room for that weekend, is $391...a night...rumors abound, that that is low...it's more like $500...and the cost of a tix to the game...well, via Stub Hub?...a down payment on a new car...or SUV...you do know, it is covered on the pixels, right?...at least I hope so at my son's...er, our son's...sorry, Boss...

The PGA is at Pebble Beach this week...doesn't seem the same without the 'stars'...it is a change in the format...for the Pros, the top 80 in, and a no cut T...and only 2 days of sports celebs, they say...feels diff and not nearly as fun...I am almost at the point of JCC...

The Pineapple Express was not what the weather peops were forecasting...it did rain, but not to the max that they warned us...good...there is another off shore, that will get us this next week...so, leave them bags down, guys and gals...just in case...I thought Punx said SPRING is here!...

Well now, the January report is out and the jobs were up, 353 grand...the unemployment rate is at 3.7%...added jobs for 37 consecutive months...and the forevers still want trump to turn it around...he would, for sure, the other way...THEN, for goodness sakes, let's see the grocery prices drop...somebody is taking too much...
