Taliban

The dreaded Afghanistan region...just why are we there?...as the Taliban has launched their new strikes on key parts of that country today...to me it's like treading water in the ocean...eventually the sharks are going to circle and strike...I am very curious to the reaction that our military takes up now...lose, lose, lose...

Speaking of that, the Padres did more of the same in LA...trotted out a new buck to face the Dodgers...and he gave up 3 dingers in a couple of innings, ie 2 to Matt Kemp, who now has 6, count 'em 6, against the Pads guys in just 2 series...oh yea, and SD had 2 singles for the game, and LOSE, 6-1...albeit, no reported errors...except the ancient SS Bartlett, muffed a one hopper by Kemp...which was graciously ruled a hit by the keeper....and the 2B Hudson?....batting .050....what about catcher Hundley?...still ofer and .000...hard to get wins with them blokes in your lineup...boooooooo....

When we spent last weekend in Santa Barbara, and stayed at the Hyatt...one thing stood out...the bed was major league soft...idea bulbs went off....so Bloomingdale's had this one day "home" sale yesterday...off we went to Fashion Valley...and you got it...we got a goose feather down mattress cover, as well, as 2 pillows of the same...and I was in heaven last night...even though our mattress has the pillow top, this was the extra ticket to make the sleep the BEST, JERRY, THE BEST....

A new scandal has hit the airwaves...the secret service was maybe involved with some ladies of the paid persuasion in Colombia...this was prior to the Prez arriving...think Mitt isn't salivating over this issue?...maybe he needs to send his new buddy, Rickie, down there to investigate...make sure he leaves Mr. 999 home, as he may be tempted...I'm just saying...

Watched a little of the PGA tourney in SC...and the two guys leading, well, they resembled a couple of blokes I know...kind of portly and of course, everyone lurves them types...no flat bellies there...

The NBA draft is right around the corner...and I am very interested...the Bolts draft down the order a bit...and after the two QB's Luck and Griffin, there is much speculation about who goes next...a lot of talk about the QB from Texas A & M...I think the best guy in the draft...the best...is the WR Blackmon from Oklahoma St...and I am hoping LaMichael James is available when SD's turn comes around...

So sad about the state of one of the remaining Bee Gees...Robin Gibb...in a coma and is gravely ill in London...his song "I Started A Joke" a top one of all time...

The weather is turning back to awesome this week....supposed to hit the 80's...and with that, kids, you have a sunny Sunday...
