Normally, you can say it is just a slow start...like the newly acquired first baseman of the LA Angels, Albert Pujols...who they bought for $150 million or like that...who has yet to bang a tater...but he will...BUT...we are talking the Padres...who have very little upside...or, is it downside...they have very little pitching, and they are injured...and they have very little pop in their bats...with a little hope in the injured Carlos Quentin in the wings...BUT...fact is they are off to the worst start in the 40 year history of the club...3-12...let's just say they turn it around...how?
For this to happen, there has got to be somebody or somebodies that can consistently hit...there is no pattern of this to be with the group they have...they must play flawless defense...zero chance...as the middle infielders are old and error prone...the pitchers catch fire...nope, not a stud in the group...there is no chance of this team, as it is, to get back on the track of winning...
Support...witness the crowd last night at Petco...clearly 60-70% there were Phillie fans...in fact, it seemed like a home Philly crowd...embarrassing for sure...so you may say, get out and support the team...sorry, kids, it is too frustrating to sit there and watch the debacle...and...then...to read the banter that comes out of management in the paper the following day...
Very bad play...hanging on for dear life...it was a slim 1-0 lead in the 7th for the home team...runners on 1st and 2nd...obvious bunt situation...bunt goes down to our 3b Headley...he charges, then backs off...in the books it's not an error...but in reality...it is...led to a 3 run inning for the Phils...and thus the win...the Manager Black comment for the paper?...the pitcher has to get off the mound quicker to field his position...shoot Buddy....get AN OUT!...typical play and response...

First of all, SD needs an owner...the league blocked the bloke who thought he had them...so...a new guy or conglomerate is needed...lots of rumors...but no cash, yet...they need to bring in the fences and make this a hitter's park...they need to pay out some moolagh for guys to come here to the hittable park...start a new...flush all the management....this town would come alive...but they are dismayed by the product...
