Chargers

With all the hullabaloo about the Sooper Bowl, there is a hidden item out here in SD...if the Bolts are going to stay or exit up to the dreaded LA area...the Farmer's Insurance Group apparently has some $ that they need to invest...in to a football stadium!  Think the insurance companies don't charge too much?  Well...FI is going to build a stadium, and the NFL is going to move one of the present teams in it...and...SD has been trying to erect a new one, possibly in the downtown area...nobody, nowhere, no nunca, nada, nuttin' been's built in the last 3 years...

The Cavs continued their streak and have tied the all time record of 23...can break it when they play the unpredictable Blazers in Cleveland today...sidelight in the NBA...Kevin Love was selected to play in the all-star game in lieu of Yao Ming...chosen by the commish...passing over LA, much to the chagrin of many PDX fans...

The Aztecs host the cellar dwelling Horned Frogs...it's like the reverse of the Duke thinger there at TCU...in the MWC, the good one is UNLV at BYU...still think that the Rebels are a very good team...really well coached...

If you are a true hacker, then you need to catch the plight of our new hero, Tommy "Two Gloves" Gainey...a real example of the everyday golfer...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
