Huge Win

Here's the deal...so many teams search the entire season for a way to finish off games...take a look at the Heat for example...and along comes the SDS Aztecs who have won all but 2 games...and they have been in a number of close ones...last night in the MWC Tourney they are all tied with the host UNLV Rebs...with 30 seconds to go and it's the Rebs ball...a stop for SDS and the Aztecs take NO TIMEOUT, cuz they practice this moment over and over...and PG Gay comes down and hits the winning shot...again...they just finish it off...OK, OK, OK...now it's another crack at BYU...the benefit?
Here comes the tricky thing...where do the Aztecs and Cougars (?) get seeded and how high?  Does it make a difference who wins to get a better one?  Only the Big Dance folk know...I think the winner gets a #2 seed, and the loser a #3...as Rodney Dangerfield (remember him?) would say, no respect...

Other notes about what I have seen around the hoop land...the Big East is tough...5 of those teams have a chance to win it all...the Big Ten is not and still will get a bunch of undeserving invites...the Pac 10 is the worst I've seen in many, many years...the ACC is top heavy and the best of 'em figure in, too...

Bounce, bounce, bounce...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
