The Cali Supreme Court upheld the voter's decision of banning marriages other than a man and a woman. They also decided to allow the marriages to be legal of those who got married prior to the law going into effect. This decision is supported wholeheartedly by the conservative side of this state, but they are dumbfounded by the fact that those marriages will stand...I think I said that right....
OK, the people have had their say...BUT...it is not as clear cut as the conservatives might think. I would like to go another step. The Christian right has always felt that their way is the only way...that you must feel the same way they do or you will go to hell or something...that blind faith is better than no faith whatsoever...it is written in the Bible that marriage is between a man and a woman...ONLY...if somebody feels otherwise they are sinners and they need to change...
Let's get real...people have been created by people and are never perfect...whether you are heterosexual, homosexual, metrosexual, asexual....it just is...the Christian right can't see that...they get in their little congregations and have some preacher tell them that their way is the way of the lord and all else is WRONG...Because they said so...
I am thoroughly offended by people who feel that way...if you are straight or not...who cares? Why should anyone put their values on somebody else's and make them live the way they do?
Don't give me that crap about it is God's way...for every one of them who have brothers or sisters or parents who are not straight they turn away...and STILL live in their conservative world refusing to admit to their own flesh and blood having other feelings...
Yes, I am appalled at the way some people treat others...you know who you are...you have to answer to somebody at some time..
