The Editorial

Here we swim about in untested waters...the vast expanse of this thing I call the web net...which has pretty much taken over for the news source of the country...not sure about the World...but, I wouldn't doubt it...even bigger than the pixels...the TeeVee, that is...sure, you may spend much of your time, gazing at your cell phone...for the news...the hot topics...whatever one calls it...

Furthermore, there is a good chance that you read the headlines, and bypass the story within them...so, like I say to so many now...the people, the kids, the learners...now know a little about a lot, and NOT a lot about any one thing...it is the nature of this beast...this thing, the web net...

Gone, for the most part, are the news sources of the past...the newspaper...the written word...to see the stories in print, on paper...to survive, the newspaper has had to go online...the impact, is startling...IT IS NOT THE SAME!...

You are going to tell me, that influencers are ruining this country....ha ha...like the KFam...who are strolling about in billions of dollars...because, they have found a way to 'influence'...as others have...so, what happened to the original 'influencers?'...the guys, usually, who were the editors of the nationwide newspapers...and their incredible EDITORIALS!...that were so cherished by all those politicians, as they ran for an office...

Some might tell you, pastors, priests, rabbis, well, church leaders of all faiths...are 'influencers'...yes, they are...but the masses of people that go to the 'church' are down immensely...

The schools...well, this is a very hot topic...as nowadays...the school boards are running scared...they don't want their employees voicing any opinions on most anything...teach the subject and keep your mouth shut...well, it depends on the book that is being taught from...right?...and it appears to be from the very right...if you don't, you are either suspended or fired... 

So, here I am...telling you to dig deeper...you can...it is out there...it is just harder to do so...

I saw this trial thinger for the police...the grappler...that shoots out from the front of the police rig...and like snarls a car, that is being driven away....negating the long police chase scenes...it's experimental now, but I can see this as a necessity...soon...

Great football yesterday...the Ducks had a small test with Northwestern...gave the starters the 4th Q off...and not only did not cover the spread (angering the Vegas bettors), but probably cost UO some votes for the week...it's OK...up next is the Beavs and that is always a toss up...even tho, OSU has been very poor thus far...they shall rise up for the game...always do...

Tennessee had a great chance for a final W over Georgia...but 2 things...they gave up a Hail Mary, 4th down TD, and even worse, an unchecked 2 point tie throw...the dude was 10 yards clear of any defender...then, missed the winning FG at the buzzer...of course, the coach, who I am not fond of, blamed the FG kicker...who looks like he is 16...there are many blames to go around on this one, bloke...ie, YOU!...

The Friars hit some boppers last eve and got a Doub...let's go!...one more today with them Rockies...ah, the Bums beat the Gigantes....so, we kept pace...
