Where's the Beef?

Recall this advertisement way back in the...well, it was way back...'Where's the Beef?'...alas, it was a Wendy's ad...back in '84...guess that is 41 years ago...so, that may eliminate some of you Horse readers...I bring this up, as the national fast food chains...are going to another commodity for increasing their sales...chicken...that's right kids, chicken...cluck you, beef...to be fair, it's good for a change...but, my preference is the cheeseburger...not the big, fat, nasty ones....but the smaller and tastier burger...

The 8's...ah ha, now I go back to my days of working at a Meat market...8's refer to 8 patties to a pound...some, had us do 10's...some 6's...in your supers now, you see 4's quite often...can recall Bob's would pay more for their beef, as they wanted more beef, than suet...and they would pop their own patties...

Time went on after the 50's...the convenience of the burger joints...as well, as the Mom and Pop places got replaced by the Natty ones...soon, the single burger, became colossal burgers...piled high...3rd pounders became prevalent...me?...I like the smaller ones...IN N OUT, has that, adding the fresh veggies...purrfect...and yes, way way back, I dug the Bob's 25 cent cheeseburger...simple, and so good...

Lots and lots of input on the Alcatraz redo...renovation will be a huge expense...the one thing that gets me, is the lack of fresh water...will see how boy orange figures that out...perhaps, put MTG on it...

Egads, did not see that the Friars would go into NY and get the 1st game of the set...that's 6 in a row, Friar Faithful...even, as Jr and the Mgr got tossed...in the 8th...honestly, it was cuz the behind the plate ump, was off...how long will it be, you baseball nuts, before that the eye in the sky will call the balls and strikes?... weather permitting, today we have our best going, Michael King...hmmm...

The NBA playoffs...upsets in both of the series beginning games last eve...

If you want, you can see most of the giddy-ups of the pretty people at the Met Gala...on the E online site...can't imagine wearing a train....some of the blokes, did, too...yes, and there was rain...you know, NYC in the spring...train in the rain, causes pain for the...pawns...

Yes, you should see 'SAFE' on Netflix...a lot of strings all about...most are all bollocks, but what the heck?...it's based on a novel...the writer can go anywhere...
