Nostalgia...cats...as we often do on the weekends...go to YouTube and watch and listen to music...one that gets us every time...is a song called 'You Belong To Me'...it's a boomer song...but, turns out...it really was written back in 1952...made famous then...by Jo Stafford...you ever hear of her?...others sang it...covered it...like Patti Page...OK, know her?...and the infamous to me, Dean Martin...one of them Rat Pack guys...BUT, our favorite is by a group of the 60's...the Duprees...featuring the Voice (Tommy Petillo)...it is a must find and watch (and listen) to...it is one of your homework assignments for the day...

Carly Simon also recorded a song of the same name, but totally different tune...Taylor Swift (you know her?) had another, but the TO, switched to With...and it is a total diff song, too...

You know of all groups that covered the song...an instrumental rendition stood out, too...by Santo and Johnny...them guys, who did 'Sleep Walk'...yea, before your time...

Elon showing his DOGGIE style to all the Federal workers he can...making them document what they have done the past week...if not satisfactory to him, or whomever he says makes the judgment...then YOU are 'FIRED!'...ah, bringing back the merit system of pay...which means, you have to buddy up to your boss or supervisor...kiss arse...the school system I taught at, way back when....suggested that for us, too...never came to fruition...

Perhaps, he should do this for the one and only F-Elon...let's document what he does...here goes...wake up, throw a comb across my hair...ah, that's the Beatles, dude...go to hairdresser...paint my face...order a Big Mac and Diet Coke... check my tee time...find my MAGA cap...head on out to the course...play 18 holes, with security keeping my rock in play...call Elon...checking on what he is doing at the White House...have lunch...Big Mac and Diet Coke...wake up Melania...it's past noon...put on suit and fly to DC...talk to the only reporter left in the room....all the rest have been exported (or deported)...have dinner, Big Mac and Diet Coke, with large fries...meet with Elon...ask who is he firing today...write derogatory statements on truth social...call it a nite...take face off...

Boss and I had a notion to hit the Saturday Market in Little Italy...kinda cool...we went via the trolley...which made me wonder, how many of the blokes on it, actually paid...you know what I mean...do not smile, do not look at anyone...the mantra...then the market...5 or so blocks of most anything you would want...except eggs...weird...the place was SLAMMED...which made me wonder...in Europe, at their markets...do the masses walk on the left as they wander about...as here, the peops walk on the right...got some bread, coffee, and a plant...trolleyed back...life in the city...


Yes, it is Sunday...and for sure...Monster Sudoku time...think it's the 5 star one today...a very long shot for success...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
