Throwback on the road to Torrey

Just a terrific snapshot...of the road from Del Mar towards Torrey Pines St Park...this circa the 60's judging by the cars...the Studebaker, the 'Ol Bug...for youse unknowing...this is in SoCal, down by the infamous Torrey Pines GC...nothing much has changed in this area...except TIME!...wait, the bridge work did improve...so way cool...rad...far out...

How were the celebrations of St Paddy's Day in your area?...in our Gaslamp Q, there appeared to be a near normal to what it was like prior to the Pandemic, a full year ago...if one judges by the television coverage...of course, we did not go down...as many of the 'partiers' have yet to get vaccinated...

I can't figure out the hate crime dilemma over the Asian Americans...why?...who is fostering this?...is this more of the white supremacy crap?...I said that it has been festering in the past couple of months...then listened to people recount stories of their lives...that has been ongoing for...years!...I just don't get it...

A very very PROUD time for us...as our son is about to open up his new office in Montecito!...it's been a long, and arduous task for him...the purchase of the building, the dealing with the city, the planning of the interior and exterior, the signage needed, the hiring of staff...the list is immense and we are...SO PROUD!...his grand opening is next Monday...

The Horse's golf game is now officially in the...TANK!...my lowlight yesterday, was 4 consecutive double bogeys...holes 2-5...so, you can imagine the mood I was in...yup, a 91...the highest score I have had in a year...that's with a load of gimmes, too...hmmm, the weather was great...the company was fun...had a stogie...well, things weren't that bad...

Yea, and this...used me new prescription for my contacts...and they were super fine...saw really well...ah, too good...

Time for some pardons...I have been known to belittle the voice of Miranda Lambert...well, thru, You Tube...we watched a gaggle of her videos...and bless her pea picking heart, they were down right entertaining!...fun...I have a new appreciation for her sound...ah she is no Carrie, but no one is...

Snooki's song of the day...'Baby Please Don't Go' by Them...the older elder PNW senior citizen told me that there would be history here of this song...indeed...it was written back around the time he was born...in '35, recorded by Big Joe Williams...there were many coverings of the hit...ie, the Orioles, Muddy Waters, AC/DC, and Aerosmith, to name but a few...the one that is recognized the most, cuz of our era, was by Them...you know, like them...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
