Merry Christmas

                             

  Merry Christmas, from the Horse and Boss Lady...

Recall back in the days...when people sent out Christmas Cards...many, telling their year end story...what they did...what was new...or, simply saying...We Love You...or We Miss You...it was rad...cool...groovy...the bomb...some still do, and it is my fav mail that we get...really...next year...yes, next year, I am going to convince the Boss to do it...rather than what I am doing this Christmas...a rapid fire Merry Christmas over the web net...

I love the season...absolutely lurve it...I like the lights, the tree, the passion...it has a warmth like no other...takes me back to past times...as we age, sometimes that is all we got...

We watched the Christmas flick 'It's a Wonderful Life'...this time, it was in color...so, it seemed different...ah, Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed as recent high school grads, was a big stretch to the imagination... 

Got me thinking yet again...nowadays, the masses...'Don't respect the elders like they used to'...it's a truth...the word sent down, by an elder...was golden...somehow, that has changed...not sure of that is everywhere in the World...but, it sure is here in the States...on the Rez, it still is...but, my oh my, that is isolated...

I have a gaggle of Christmas music...vinyls, CD's, and in the 'Cloud'...whatever, and wherever that is...nostalgia is front and center...with so many classics that still are priceless...one such disc, that is relatively new...the one by the beautiful sounds of Little Big Town...harmony, kids...harmony...

Family....religion...special days...we were deep in thought about what our friends are doing...some are isolated, without fam...some are grieving from recently lost loved ones...listen people, we all need people...hermitting (Horse, is that even a word?) is not good...one friend told me that 'we think of Christmas as just another day'...the Horse has this deeper thought...that spiritually there is something there...finding it, is hard...in case you were brought up with it...forced to feel that way...there are so many religions out there...is there an after life?...man, this boy has gone deep...

Yes, I am blessed with a terrific wife of 51+ years...and a son of 45...2 grand kids...yes, I am lucky...very lucky...+ son's extended family...they all are doing great...so, there is my commentary on this Christmas card...

It would not be a post without some politics and some sporty news...

There was only ONE game on last nite...in all of my sports...the Hawaii Bowl (egads another bowl game)...pitting Cal vs Hi...I left it and went nite nite...and see that the Rainbows came back and won the thing, after trailing 21-0...+ the game ended in a brawl...so much for the Holiday Spirit...

Your old boy, trump, posted this on his sic 'truth social'...'Merry Christmas to all, including the Radical Left Scum'...well, I guess that is ALL in his eyes...

3 NFL games to chew on today...and all 3 have little to do with playoffs...so, JCC...and a full day of NBA...5 games...a tiny bit of interest in Spurs/Thunder, Rockets/Lakers...and Mavs/Warriors...

Our day is highlighted by a din din over at Morton's...for youse unaware, it is a steak house...not a people's house...2 blocks away and it is yumster...
