What does that imply?...like food that was made last week, or picked yesterday, or packaged in the past few days?...of course, it depends on where you live...like if you are in Alaska, the term has to carry a different meaning than if you live in the heartland of the growing area of SoCal...right?...
The greens...or veggies...that are proudly propped up...where do they come from?...maybe local, maybe Mexico, or maybe from?...right...organic or inorganic...what were they grown in?...or, even worse, what was sprayed on them to keep the varmints off?...or in...why do they have such rich color?...yup, questions that abound...
There is a certain amount of trust we have when we purchase the goods...the government has some guidelines...truth in packaging type things...and we all have our own go to spots...that have the best pricing...and what we assume is the 'freshest' products...
If you are one of them Oprah people, who like their baked goods...ah yes, like FRESH bread...or desserts...there are those markets that have their own...and you KNOW they are cooked daily...you can smell it...
The meat section...a whole different story...choice, prime, or, other...geez, you don't want other, do you?...some places take pride in coloring their meats, to please you, the shopper...even though, it's all the dye, er die...whatever...
So, where do you go?...I read this article about the infamous Trader Joe's...egads, not sure if the word FRESH applies anywhere there...the written word was that to stay away from too many things there...unless, you consume them quickly...however, they do have very cheap wine, the now $3 buck chuck...
Safeway, Albertson's, Ralph's, and Sprouts the major choices in our area...with Ralph's the clear leader...however, the FRESHEST has to be...Costco...in almost all areas...the problem?...the quantities that you have to buy...dang, there is always a snag...oh yea, and you have to be a paid member...that must figure in...

Yes, I did get to Barnes and Noble...and I did get a couple of books...geez, one is by Art Garfunkel...you know of the fame, Simon and Garfunkel...singers and songwriters....duh, performers of the 60's or so...let's just say, he is one weird bloke...kind of hard to read...he jumps all over the place...
And... a book written by David Baldacci...he has a lot to his name...this will be my first venture into what he is all about...I'll keep you posted...
Lots of commotion here at the home...there is a remodel about to commence...new paint on the walls and new carpet...in the hallways and in the entry to the condo...and in the elevators...the 'committee' brought the choices up to the general lot of owners last eve...they gave us 2...kind of like Repub or Demo...one is the Trump black and the other is the Hillary gray...tough to choose...I'd prefer the Bernie blue, but that's not an option...dang the committee...
