The Stock Market

I know I speak in bewilderment when I mention the Stock Market...yet I blindly invest in it...mostly through the guises of the money market, small caps, large caps, and some, yes, a few real stocks...like Starbucks, a few airlines, and Coke and my biggee, Apple...ha ha...I am a blithering idiot in this field...but leave it there, so I can be an investor and make big bucks...fact is... those who make the big $ are those who run the whole thing...and we are talking millions...where else you going to put your money?...used to be in the banks...ha ha...or in bonds...equally non-profitbable...

There are those who buy land, and or property and go that way...of course, you have to have up front capital to do so...and lordy, there are a bunch of blokes who do that around here...

The latest drop in numbers in the Nasdaq, Dow, and S&P are all related to the fears of the European Market...what?...if not that, it's the Japan Market, or the...are we not dependent on our own?...all very confusing...I have to think that the managers of these companies are not losing any $...

The stage is set for the World Cup Champ...Germany versus Argentina...have to admit the match between Arg and the Netherlands was awful....nil-nil...went to a set of tie breaker kicks...Daffy Duck...

For  all the notoriety of the Pad's pitching staff...one who has been pounded over and over is Eric Stults...and he was so last eve in the rubber game of the Rockies/SD series...gave up 3 HR's...I would blame that on the cracker box stadium in Rockie land, but he does so everywhere he goes...time to shut him down with some mysterious GM disease...er, injury...like tightness of the shoulder or something like that...15 day DL...happens all the time...don't flinch...as the Pads head to LA to face Clayton Kershaw...I see a 2 hitter in our works...like US getting two...

Played like a golfer at times yesterday...84...and drove the ball well...used the Nike...and it popped...so much better than the Callaway...more whip in the shaft and a better sound off the face of the club...I knew better than to get the Callaway...I'm in a T on Saturday...

Big Brother...you watching this?...just a matter of time before Devin gets his due...and it will be fun to witness his demise...aw, mindless fun...CBS...

You want a real joke?...listen to the reported "Britney real voice" just released before the auto-sync was used...on one of her songs...think she doesn't use lip-syncing in her show?...if this is real...if...

Let's see...tomorrow is Cher and Saturday is Boz...time to groove, kids...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
