Good News

Well, it was needed in the worst way...a road win...lordy, a win anywhere...the Bolts took apart a woefully weak secondary and whupped the recently fired coached Jax Jags...don't downplay the V, as SD needed something to ease the pain of 6 straight weeks of futile play and...COACHING...it was cringe worthy listening to the Gruden led announcers play up the coaching ability of the Charger's guy, Norv Turner...give it a break, boys...you and I could have got SD through last night's game...well, that's probably a horrible statement, and sooo wrong...sorry...but, it looked like the team of old...

My esteemed northern Oregon colleague...the Rose will be a beaut...two contrasting styles and will be fun to figure who can dominate...just ask the Beavs how good Wisconsin is...we got our tree up and all the lights...cool stuff...and since the Condo paint is done, we now need different art work...eegads, didn't figure on that...by the way, have you ever seen so many football coaches getting the axe, like this year?  Pat Hill, really?  I always thought he got the most out of the least...always...

If you go back a few weeks, you'll see that it was me...that said Newt was going to emerge, when most were giving him just a slight chance...well, I can't take all the credit...he can speak and will give the elephants the best oratorical shot at the Prez...why does your gurl Michelle keep spending money in this race?...and where on earth is Waldo...er, Sarah?...man, do I miss her...

There was a country awards show on last night...and I watched it...and noticeably absent in most all the categories was the best group of the last two years, Lady A...what?...and, I don't think that Taylor Swift won an award...yet, Carrie won a bunch...weird...

The real life drama of the Housewives of Beverly Hills...where one of the gal's husband committed suicide during the taping of the season...each week is more of a glimpse of the pre-death...the gal herself be a bit much...like she was way out there...very uncomfortable...almost like a runaway train...

Have to comment on the Padres...sure, they let go their closer Heath Bell...and what's left?  Their very average 7th inning set up guy...booo...and the next rumor is that they are going to trade 3B Chase Headley...figure he will hit better out of Petco...duh...who doesn't?  For a closer...boooooooo....

Time for a workout...by the way, it is soooo cold here at night this week...it's not what we moved here for...booooo, er brrrrrrr.....

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
