Dancing with the Stars

I hope you agree with me...that dancing is a real sport! It has all the elements of sport...conditioning, rigor, timing, competition, and being judged...

The new edition of Dancing with the Stars begins tonight with a new lineup that features some athletes from other sports...IE. Lawrence Taylor(FB), Shawn Johnson(Olympian), Ty Murray(rodeo star) ...from entertainment...IE. Lil Kim, Chuck Wicks, Denise Richards, Gilles Marini, Belinda Carlisle, David Alan Grier...and from outer space IE. Steve-O (reality star), Wozniak (computer geek), Melissa (dumped Bachelor gal), and a Playboy playmate...No really it is sport!

Not a fan of Duke anymore...they are soft inside and don't have the full court pressure they once were known for...UNC has more balance than most teams in the country and are under the radar...the Big East is the most over- rated conference in the country...always, the PAC-10 is under-rated...

Another no-name wins in the PGA. Y. E. Yang wins it and adds his name to those who qualify for the Masters. In the LPGA Jiyai Shin won the HSBC tourney. Both of these fine golfers are Korean...is there a trend here?

The Trib has just done it...their first of the season bashing of the Padres. They quote unnamed scouts in their negative article about the Pads pitchers for the upcoming season. Tom Krasovic wrote the article and I'm going to watch him closely this season. Hey, not that he may be right, but give them a chance...it is spring training for goodness sake...Slappy would not approve...

The US unleashed their big guns against Venezuela and won easily...Heath Bell pitched and was not overwhelming...Adam Dunn is the real deal...Jimmy Rollins or Derek Jeter at SS?...tough dilemma...Australia 10 run Mexico...what?...the Dominican Republic should be the major player in this with the lineup they have...3rd base coach for the US is none other than THE Mike Schmidt...

What is this? There are clouds out there...
