The Attack of the No See Ums


I'm sure you all have gone thru this...opened up your windows at nite...to let the fresh air in...sure...and we have screens...but, these lil dang bugs sneak in, too...we call them the 'No See Ums'...who knows what they are really called...sure enough, they will pester and bite you...it's the humidity thang...well, that's what we went thru last eve...the attack of them creatures...

Bad enough, that the Horse is STILL not well...day, what, 9?...and we did cancel the much looked ahead to trip to Boston and Maine...even if I was mended...would have been weak...and then the 5 hour+ airplane trip...couple that with the hurricane Lee effects...just looked like too many chances for disaster...oh yea, and my flight pills...the horrible thing, is that this is the 3rd time we have negated this trip...

The number 1 item on most of my sources today?...the UAW strike...the 3 major US auto workers...the union...I suppose a bad word for many of you rich cats...had it as a teacher...and as a cannery worker...my recollection of a near strike when I got my first carton of chalk, was kinda mystifying...I needed the scratch... understood later on, the importance of...for us common folk...

The NBA brass has been busy...putting in new thangs...that only one 'star' can be rested on a given nite...interesting...and the league is imposing an early all tournament...everyone is in...win your pod and advance...and the games count in the regular season...not sure if the 'player's union' will buy this one...and where on earth is Dame headed?...

You see where your girl Boebert, got ejected from a play?...people got her kicked out for vaping, amongst other things...she said she didn't...unfortunately, they have her on taped doing it...ha ha...like she is believable...poof...

Oh my, the sports 'analysts' have gone bonkers over the Colorado St football coach calling out Prime...they say locker room stuff...listen, kids...that crap lasts two hits...and then it is ball game...CSU is a 23 point dog to Prime...no match, no matter what the coach said...hey, Prime, one week and you are in Autzen...it'll be raining , but keep your shades on...

MSNBC was floating around the idea, that Taylor Swift could sway people to vote one way, or the other...some, I think...did JFK get help from Frank Sinatra?...the campaign song...hmmm...you know, politicians would do anything to get a vote...anything...why not use the stars?...quick, Demos, get ahold of Ms Swift...write us a song...and not 'Ol Man River'...

Aaron Rodgers did in fact have his achilles operation yesterday...how he can muster up a smile after, well, he is quite the 'grin and bear it' dude...

Couldn't sleep much last eve...up til 1:40 and woke up at about 5...egads...cough cough...and swattin' at them no see ums...

It's been 16 days since the Horse has hit the Singing Hills grounds...and will be at least 4 more...at least...

The Cyber attack in Vegas at the MGM Resorts...continues on...the hackers are demanding $...as I told you prior, this is all MGM owned casinos and hotels, nationwide...finally, I saw something about this on the natty news...why not all of them?...what is going on?...

Well, gots to finish up with some 'reunion' stuff...my friends sent me some pix from the mini-reunion of my class...ah, '65...it's back up north where we are not...and it was fun to see my classmates, albeit did not recall all names...and brought the memory bank, back to cruisin' on the gut...in my '57 Black 4 door Ford...and out of the nite, came this great song...'Lil Red Riding Hood', by Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs...man, that was a great cruisin' song...they were better known for 'Wooly Bully'...funny what you remember...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed...
