Good Wednesday Morn

A tad bit late today, kids...a type of a belated birthday celebration with our amigos, them Mackles...other than a horrendous head ache...call it what you want...I am slowly coming around...had to drop out of the golf...a fact that has a hidden meaning...more later...

Got home to kinda watch an odd 4th Q of the Rocket/Warrior opening NBA game...Houston won it...as they survived a made shot by GS's Durant...a fraction of a second after the game ending buzzer...and did see the lowlight of the busted ankle of the newly acquired Hayward, of the Celts...awful for him and them...a dagger...

Another comeback by them Yankees...weird one...as they were getting whupped...4-0...playing poorly....and then...the Judge hit a dinger and the place went crazy!...and it all changed...the diff?...the relief pitching from NY to Houston...

The Bums are trying to make short work of da Cubbies...didn't see that coming...up 3-0...and doing just enough to win....C is not hitting the ball....there you go...can't win if you don't score runs...right?...it's been 29 years since LA has been in the World Series...wowser...

16 blocks away was the gathering last eve...in 80* weather...this dude was sweating as we arrived at the restaurant...let's just say it took no time to chug a couple of the bubbly...which led to more...egads, I have learned me lesson...taketh __years to figure it out...

I got this great news today...my fantasy football team...may be resurrected after all...picked up the QB of the Raiders...Derek Carr...of course, he goes against KC...oh well...at least he's in the lineup...

In a short week, we will be basking in the island sun...somebody gots to do it...

OK...went to Borders to get a birth date card...and a book for the trip...wound up with a cooking book, too...a great one!...so...will be cooking out of it...often...always up for a new cooker...er, book...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
