LA Wins

The NBA cranked up it's season last eve...and one of the match ups was the battle of LA...the Lake Show versus the Clips...and everyone, I mean EVERYONE, had the Clippers in a rout...not so fast my friends...there is this thing called depth...and the Lake Show has it, and the Clips do not...in fact, the purple gang's backups played so well, that their coach didn't take them out in the 2nd half...turned out to be a laugher for them...a week ago this blogger, Crazy Horse, stated that this version of the Lakers was energetic and fun to watch...all this without Kobe...

The Clips...new coach, different parts to the 2nd unit...and...the same big men...and what on earth was
up with Blake Griffin?...as the TV analyst Reggie Miller said "it's obvious Griffin didn't do too much in the off season."...he was awful...constantly  standing around...played little D...the other big, DeAndre Jordan, was working his butt off...and their star PG, Chris Paul...looked out of shape and sllllooooowwwww...at least compared to the speed of that other LA team...trouble ahead on the horizon, kids...

AND...if you expected to see the key match ups with Pao and Blake...and Nash and CPIII...you had to watch early on...not at the end...

Game number 2...the Heat and da Bulls...another no match...this time as expected...Miami is for real...big time...they are a year better...nice depth and fun to watch...da Bulls?...well, their star PG, Derrick Rose, is back...played well...and Chi will be a force in time...they got in foul trouble and fought that all night...it's along season, kids...

Beisbol...watched this very interesting piece on Cuba baseball...how MLB has got most of their top players...and it is hurting that country...the place is so poor that they can't even afford bats and balls...really...the guys who defect and sign for millions, apparently they can't share their riches with back home...odd...anyway...the Series is in Boston tonight...and the Bosox up 3-2...and will finish off Saint Looey...ha ha...never, ever bet on professional sports...

My buddy dropped off the PP's for Saturday's Breeder's Cup...DO BET ON THESE...just not too much...every hoss could win...so I figure if I hit 2, I will make some $...

Can you keep up with all the tablets, iPads, and other similar things that are released?...I mean c'mon...one is better than the other...and they keep changing...my original iPad is so outdated...I have simple wishes...start fast, type easily, browse quickly...and not freeze up...

The topic of Obamacare is always on the hit list...if the repubs had any credibility it seems like they could have a field day...but they don't and this issue just flounders about...I think that the entire set of democrats need to meet and show in mass what this dang thing is all about...to the entire public...so confusing...not just the Prez...

A whirlwind of crapola in the downtown area yesterday...a transient boasted that he had a pipe bomb in his garbage bag...an evicted 30 year old got shot resisting arrest...a note to an elementary school saying that there was a bomb there...just another day in paradise...

Well, the "storm" has passed...little bits of raindrops here and there...eegads, this is a far cry...just can't believe we canceled golf...oh well...today is beautiful and we are on tomorrow for Halloween...don't have to wear any goofy gear for golf...my swing takes care of that...

You know, when you live in a high rise, it's like living in a normal size community...180 or so families...really is quite fascinating....the politics and all...just like any other association...rules and regulations...BUT...having 24 hour security...and a concierge...well..it is a very secure place to live...

Time to turn on GMA...the best one going...so says me...
