Friday Focus

One of the many things that get lost on a 20 day RV trip, is what day it is...day of the week...'seems like a Tuesday'...no, 'more like a Sunday'...reality is, you don't know...it's just the next stop on the tour...er, excursion...a tour would be like a singer, right?...

Speaking of singers...I want you all to go to wherever your music source is...and listen to Brenda Lee's Greatest Hits...forever, I thought that she was a country lass...but listening to her, she could easily pass for a 50's pop gal...which she did, and in the 60's, too....some absolute great songs, that I wish Carrie or Sara would cover...just for another take on 'em...

A day off for the struggling Friars...much needed, I might add...as we all search for some live arms that may be brought up to help this team...did see video of the highly acclaimed, but no show Mackenzie Gore...looked good to moi...did you realize that in their (MLB franchises) cost saving venture...they cut out 43 minor league affiliates?...that's 43 cities, kids...that lost their backbone for the summer...smaller towns and cities, thrive on their very own pro baseball team...for not only something to do, but take pride in...

Do we or don't we get the booster shot when available?...seems like this administration has a lot on it's plate right now...I just figure we will and leave it like that...was at CVS yesterday, and there were many peops getting their Covid shots...which is a good thing, but why did it take them soooooo long?...

This was at Costco yesterday...of course, under lock and key...but who could afford, or want this bottle of scotch for a mere $19,000?

This is irritating, but the Bums have won 7 in a row...getting prepared for their journey down here at Petco....still can't believe that they got a top notch pitcher and SS...and we didn't...which put them in the running...thanks, AJ, you are a bust...

Is this true?...Georgia has the highest voter registration rates in the nation at 95%...egads, what on earth will the forevers do to squash this?...

The PGA has begun it's Fed Ex Tourney of their top 125 players...the coveted T that brings the winner a boatload of cash....like they need it...yea, so the Spaniard Rahm and the USA's Thomas are tied after round one...and the ladies are over the pond, and their winner gets like $870 grand...which is huge for their top prize...don't get me going on equality...

To finish off this Friday...it is Friday, right?...as we talked about humanitarians yesterday...a tale that is downright cool...the super senior Snooki of Salem...for the past week has volunteered to pick up athletes from the PDX airport and take them to Eugene for the infamous 'Prefontaine Classic'...to be clear...he drives from Salem to Portland, picks up the athletes, then drives to Eugene, and then back home...for everyday this week...that's at least 4 hours in a car...every day...who does that?...well, for his credit, and his dedication...he has earned the highly coveted golden 'Horseshoe Award'...congrats, dude...
