Tardy

Never too late, right?...I am a bit TARDY today, kids...actually, got up at 6ish and had an early tee time...you know the drill...the news is filled with the normal, ah, abnormal...the foul stuff in Afghanistan...the ongoing mess of the non-vaccinated people in our country...and the heat of the weather....

One of the reasons I do like the CBS Morning Show, is that they give us many positive takes on life...searching thru the USA for some good things...unbelievably, there are lots of them...it's just the daily stuff, that the local...and natty news delivers...are the bad things...who killed who, what is the latest from the courts....traffic problems...political debates...'experts' all over the pixels...weather and sports...and who died...

If I ran a TV news thing...one segment would be a local person who makes a difference...a local Congressman would give his or her views on what's going in DC...every day...of course, local sports...and natty sports...the weather...where you can go and where you can't...what highway to avoid in the am...or at the close of work...and what is going on for concerts, shows, and whatever, for the weekend...planning stuff...

Bear with me...the mighty Padres...picked up a struggling vet in Arrieta...recently dropped by another team...and he got the rock today...gave up 3 in the 1st and left with some sort of injury...kind of our luck lately...I blame this all on GM AJ for his inability to stock the team with pitchers...OK, that's it...

Are you in a Fantasy Football league?...not moi...I like the NFL...but, I like college ball more...yup, a Duck nut...as the pre-season AP has UO at #11...the best of the Pac 12...'Bama, of course, is number 1...the usual suspects are up there....Clemson, Ohio St, LSU, Oklahoma...blah blah blah....

I'm right back at this...the blame game for leaving Afghanistan...just ask Russia why they left...I don't see where the government that was in place, did anything to quell the Taliban...it was inevitable, kids...we were gonna leave there eventually...and the same thing was to happen...

Down at the Gaslamp...there were so many delivery trucks all over the area...while I was returning from Sycuan...there must be a multitude of peoples who roam and drink and eat there...haven't been there in a good while...we go north or west...to imbibe and get food...

The word is out...by mid September, the 1st booster shot will be available...count us in...man, we have trips coming up...and we shall be protected...ah, have you had your 1st one yet?...get going...

It's not been excruciating hot here...but, it is humid...which is so rare for this neck of the woods...subtle discomfort...

We have a concert this weekend over at Rady...the new outside venue at the bay...looks terrific...Smokey Robinson...'Ooh Baby Baby'...gonna hit Roy's prior to...great fish...call it date nite...

The Pads lost again...to the cellar dwellers...and gosh...we have NO pitching...on home they come...to face the Phillies and then, the Bums...looks like we have to score 8 runs a game to have a chance...here is the Mgr...he should be safe, AJ should NOT be...
