Monday's Message

Morning!!!...this is a quickie, as I have an early tee time...how was your weekend?...fine...I have a few things for you to ponder....

POTUS is making good (er, bad) with China over the amounts of cash we are taxing them...tariffs...so, duh, they are doing the same back at us...this is called a 'Trade War'...

The final 2 in the Houston Open had a lot at stake...ie, the right to play in next weeks coveted Masters...OT, it went...and the dude with the scary eyes and extremely HOT putter, Ian Poulter, beat the youngin', Beau Hossler...as the latter, fell apart...Poulter is one of them English blokes that represents Europe in the Ryder Cup, but he lives in Florida now...what?...tax, kids tax...just listen to the Beatles 'Taxman'...as all of them mopheads moved to the US, too...

In the LPGA, over in Palm Springs...the ladies first major...they also went OT...and finished up in the dark...really...and they are not done...will start at 8 am today...you know, this used to be called 'The Dinah Shore'...see the USA in your Chevrolet...something like that...

Notre Dame came from nowheres ville and beat Missy St...on a buzzer beater...in the ladies Big Dance...

Tonight, 'Nova will maul the Wolverines in the guys version...bet a quid on it...

The unmighty Pads had the day off...before their next victim arrives here for a 4 spot...Buddy Black's (the old Pad skipper) Colorado Rockies...think we can get our first win and get off the schneid?...already, and I mean already, we have the worst record in MLB...

I think they work...think...WALKOUTS...there are states that have been fed up...wait, make that teachers that are fed up....drastic cuts in education...they have had enough of 'em...so are staging that form of anger...Oklahoma is doing so, following the lead of 3 others, West Virginny, Arizona, and Kentucky...

Finally, rumor mill...imagine if true...recall in the past month, the fury that POTUS had over 'leaks' in his administration...there are tales out there that it may have been...drum roll please....Kellyanne Conway!...what?...ha ha ha ha...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
