Masters, Day One

It was perfect weather for the golf in Augusta, Georgia...at the Masters...it is like no other tourney that the pros play...filled with pressure that they don't feel any other time...out of nowhere emerged the 55 year old Vijay Singh...to take the early lead...at -3...it was fun...nasty is the old codgers who tell the rest of the viewing world when the masses get to view what is going on...until noon, PDT...

Fortunately, there is coverage...on your computer or mobile phone thru THEM, the owners of the Masters...them old coots...sort of...they give you a couple of featured groups that YOU, the public, get...I mean GET...have the privilege...to watch their quandary meandering about these hallowed grounds...

Round one leader?...Jordan Spieth...at -6...a terrific score right out of the gate...leads by two over the dude who sprained his ankle the day prior...celebrating a hole in one in the Par 3 T...an up and comer, Tony Finau...and then...everyone else, is right there...lurking...just footling about at par or so...lots of holes to go, kids, er teenagers...

Not so for last year's champ, Sergio...who unfortunately, had a Tin Cup moment...that for him, must have felt like an hour...yes, he needed a commercial break...as he repeatedly hit 5 straight balls...that hit the green on the par 5 15th...and then backed up...into the agua...disheartening...on his way to a 13 on the hole...and a two day play...

Now for you or me...merciless hacks...that COULD happen...in fact, I can recall such a day...as we were playing a canyon hole, a 135 yarder...just you and the green...and the canyon...my playing partner for the day (there will NOT be names used, to protect the golfing duffer) stubbornly wanted to use a 3 wood...each shot...went into the canyon below...methodically, he would go back to his bag and tee another...and down the canyon it would go...yes, I was belly laughing...and yes, I was rolling on the ground...finally, after 4 or 5 hits (maybe more)...his blue darter sailed into the bunker, that saved his shot from going 50 yards past the green...'all right, let's go', was his comment...true story...nobody was belly laughing at Sergio...

Let's go...

The Padres were finishing up their series with the Colorado Rockies...locked into an electrifying 0-0 game into the 9th inning...and POOF...the Pad's closer couldn't CLOSE again...amidst a 3 walk performance...and 3 runs later...SD had lost yet another...skepticism abounds...and off they go to Houston...to take on the WS Champs of last season...oh my...buckle up...

Talking about a ride...close your eyes today on the hellacious one, that the Stock Market will take us on, today...POTUS told the masses, that we have 'Lost the Trade War, already'...geez, mister, aren't YOU the one that said we would win it?...

Want a great stat?...the Washington Post has this beaut...that one in five Americans have joined in a 'protest march' or 'protest rally' of something...in the past year...all having to do with what Prez T has done, or hasn't done...isn't that a lot?...is there a record for something like this?...

Dancing With The Stars...this time around they are going to feature athletes...or former ones...probably cuz they can't find any more pseudo stars...haven't they had all the KFam already on?...I digress...but hold your applause...the one and only skating villain, Tonya Harding, is signed on...wonder who gets her?...Tony?...and if you are beating her in the polls, watch your knees...oops...

POTUS wants to reallocate 2,000 to 4,000 National Guard troops to the border...what?...first of all, there goes your furlough...2ndly, who is gonna do the dirty work?...and 3rd...be careful Mackles...

Staying with him...he is gonna skip the annual Correspondents Dinner at the end of April...send his spokeswoman for the press in lieu...yea...this is going to be another wonderful year...'if you can't stand the heat, get out of....'

Finally, we had massages yesterday....I am relaxed and waiting for the onslaught of the day...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
