Hey, in your advanced age...the hiding of the eggs is not such a good thang...be careful...cuz you MUST...remember, as the hider, where you put them?...how many you hid?...and whether or not they have been hard boiled...
Not so happy is the lackluster start to the season by the oh so not mighty Pads of Petco...an embarrassing 0 fer 3 beginning...all LOSSES at home!...throw in fundamental mistakes...which you wouldn't think would happen so much on the Major League level...and, well, if you smell rotten eggs, they are coming from 6th and Island...ah, 159 more chances...
It's Michigan and Villanova in the final game for the Big Dance...guys...as them Vegas dudes were right on...and POOF went my last bastion in my bracket...did 'Nova shoot ALL 3's in the first half of the Jayhawk mauling?...it was no match...I see no way that the Wolverines can beat this team...
In the gals version, it's Missy St and Notre Dame, right?...I dunno, since UO, OSU and UConn all got knocked out, I got no interest...
Off we went to Costco yet again...how many times this week, has this been?...bought some new pots and pans...the ones we had, were flaking off...the inner 'non-stick' stuff...now we have the Cuisinart Try Ply Copper Collection...and they tell ya, WASH by hand and NOT in the dishwasher...but here's the real scoop...we found the Kirkland Bourbon, small batch...but, alas, it is made in Tennessee!...WTH?...there is no way that it is distilled by Jim Beam OR Buffalo Trace, as they are in Kentucky...and Jack Daniels is not taking credit...
Nashville, gotta love it...you been there?...terrific trip, kids...well, there is this place, the Bluebird Cafe...holds about 40...like many spots all over town...and the peops were there for whatever...and whatever happened...a tall kid walked onstage to sang with Craig Wiseman...a prolific songwriter who was the scheduled act...he had one you might know by Tim McGraw, 'Live Like You Were Dying'...this kid...was Taylor Swift...BOOM!...they go way back, and she did some of her songs...much to the delight of the 40 patrons...she did the song that she wrote for Little Big Town, 'Better Man'...and then did 4 or 5 others...yea, this is Nashville...
Live PD...you ever watch this?...being a cop just has to be in your blood...what a difficult job...doesn't it seem that these cops arrest the same people over and over and over...like they know the 'bad guys' already, quite often...and yet...you see the shootings of the unarmed guys...very confusing...there must be more to the story...still, I could never be one...and good lawdy, as a teacher, I couldn't have a gun...
Some of my friends swear by their trips to Mexico...'how safe' it is...blah blah blah...want some numbers?...according to an article in the USA Today, the author being David Agren...there were over 29,000 homicides in Mexico last year...you heard me right...and this year, the figure is 21% ahead of last...oh my...ALL US border towns are a no no...and the hot spots, too...Cancun, Cabo, and Playa del Carmen...these numbers SURPASS the bloodbath in Syria, my good friends...nope, I'll take Maui or Nashville, thank you...
