And unfortunately, it is to the people that we (WE?) vote into office, to make the decisions that affect our daily lives...appears often, way too often, that the campaign promises are just those...PROMISES, with no validity...that once in the position of power, the chosen ones...CHANGE their minds...ah ha...and here we go...to what has happened often, in the past 6 months...
Protests...not since the ill fated and unceremoniously deadly Vietnam War, have the people of the United States gathered to show their displeasure as to what is being offered in the political arena...education is the hot bed of unrest right now...but, it is the calm before the storm for the rest of the country...in the late spring and summer...
As of now, it is not PEACE we are after, it is the righting of the PERILOUS FRIGATE that is barely staying afloat...

My PNW buddy called last nite and asked if I was watching the guys Big Dance final...nope, was my response...figured it to be a slam bam whupping by 'Nova...so, I did turn it on...geez, all I witnessed is what I thought...missed the start by Michigan...when they were on fire...no doubter, and my 'Second Fiddle' cap is off to them...that schools 2nd championship in 3 years...
The Masters...golfing's premier event...if you are a 'master' of that craft, er sport...this is the tourney that you want in the worst way...it is YOUR equivalence to the aforementioned Big Dance title...so, I did enter a pool to pick the W...the way it is set up, you can pick 2 of the top 8...and then 3 from the field...got it?...I went with the hot dudes from the past month, Bubba and Spieth...this T, often has repeat winners...and they both have won prior...starts up Thursday...
Oh my, the Pads are testing the faithful real early on this season...another dismal performance and yup...we are 0 fer 4...we will win ONE game, right?...shaky play, very hittable pitching, too many striking out, and questionable managing...yes siree Bob, we are in dire straights...another chance tonight...
Wowser, saw this feature story in the Washington Post...about college students...that 36% of them, are underfed and by lack of cash, skip meals...well, not sure what underfed actually means, but when the Horse was in college, food was not a high priority until dinner time...and a fried bologna sandwich seemed quite nice...I digress...
