Calm Down, People

Reading the headlines, watching the video clips, and listening to the PEOPLE responding to PATRIOTISM...or, is it that?...an issue of kneeling as the National Anthem is being played...to some, i.e. the Prez, it smacks the country in the face...and there is no place for it...how dare you!...to others, it is freedom of speech...a form of rebellion, as they have felt slighted in their own country...and feel that they have the stage to demonstrate...does it not seem like it is a racial divide?...

First of all, we need to all calm down...listen to one another...and adjust accordingly...over reaction is not the solution...but, is the actually the opposite of what the intent should be...to call out that 'all players who do so, should be fired', or 'don't go to the games if they kneel'...are simplistic ways of coping...and are non solutions...

On the other hand...just try to rationalize any of this to a soldier, who has been fighting for the country...who has been in real battles, not the basketball or football 'wars'...where the 'combatants' make a million or more bucks...hmmm...seem a bit different now?...black, white, red, male or female...I dunno, kids...

Perpetrating...you will listen to the Anthem be sung...and shortly thereafter, the play by play dude will announce to the TV listening crowd, who was not standing during the singing...what?...'just for the record' is the response...leave it alone, dude...let it run it's course...by highlighting it, it just becomes more of an issue...

Oh my...the latest is the 'honor' of the winning teams of diff sports going to the White House...and players are saying that they won't go...OK, don't...see ya...but know, it becomes a bigger than normal...item...are we backing into another racial division in our country?...or...making this bigger than it needs to be?...you tell me...

The Ducks went into the desert and got spanked...as you know, I was very leery over this match up with ASU...growing pains, kids...new coach, new system, and new direction... there will be bumps along the way...

On the other hand...the continual rise of the Aztecs...in a monstrous rain storm in Colorado...beat the entire Air Force...and snapped a hex on the game after biz, where in the past 50 years, SDSU lost their 1st game after being plopped into the Top 25 teams in the nation...BTW, this Aztec team went into ASU a couple of weeks ago, and beat 'em...I keep tellin' ya, this is a better unit then you think...

As beisbol is finally finishing their regular season up...and the playoff teams are a clinching their spots...these Padres keep a battling...I will give credit to Mgr Green and his staff for keeping the boyz a driving...beat the Rockies last eve, 5-0...we need 2 or 3 top flight pitchers to land here in the off season...too much to ask, GM Preller?...do your job...

The Beach Boys...they were incredible!...we were seated in the 7th row, right in front of the one and only Bill Walton, and his entourage...gosh, the place was rocking...as the crowd was alive from the get go...yup, it was a special night...FUN FUN FUN!...

The PGA playoffs...forging to the front, is the Brit, Paul Casey...hmmm, this always humors me...he lives part time, er most of it, in Scottsdale, Arizona...in lieu of England...ah hem, a tax issue...does he have a green card, or is he a US Citizen now?...I dunno...if he wins that $10 million buck bonus, he'll have to say that he is Americano, I suppose...and please, Paulie, stand during the Anthem...

Let's get serious here...we have NO food in the condo...none...the cupboards and refrig are bare...no milk today...none...no mac and cheese cartons in the closet...none...there is loads of Sammi food, but no people food...none...we do have coffee...but no creamer...none...I'm at a loss...do we go out and have a breakfast, or, trudge on over to the market...and fill up the barren spaces...

My Fantasy Football team...needs some magic from the Packers...are the offensive tackles still out?...hey, QB Rodgers, has to have time to throw...these rookie OT's won't work....
