'I' Started A Joke

I'm not sure how one can alienate more people than was done...one man's version of Patriotism, can waver from another's...'honoring the flag'...'disrespecting the flag'...is that what this is all about?...started with a player, about a year ago...ticked at the treatment of black people in this country...so, he knelt during the singing of the National Anthem...

As time went on, a few more chose to do the same...with the reasoning the same, too...of course, there are the protestors to the protestors...how dare they!...the originator, Colin Kaepernik, fell off the charts in finding an NFL team that would sign him on...there were those who thought that it was because of the kneeling...the owners may have been in collusion...maybe...

And then the Prez gets into to it...with his remarks about the actions...of kneeling...'SOB's'...appears to be the trigger...a needless comment that makes this a bigger issue than anyone thought could happen...naive?...I dunno, his statement was in a speech of his...well...the results were disappointing...maybe more disastrous....

Countless players and even, full teams, felt the 'kneed' to speak, er act out...and I think it is more in protest of the Prez than the black issue...itself...probably, the last thing he figured he'd unleashed...

This whole dilemma was 'trumping' the games...they did play them...however, did you watch any of the analysis?...100% started with the protest...hmmm...what say you?...

Moving on...

The Horse had JT winning the playoffs in the PGA Tour finality...which he did...but, he didn't win the final T...a former SDSU dude won it...Xander Schauffele!...go figure...terrific story...I have no idea how the overall winner wins the bloody 'prize' dough...JT (Justin Thomas) won the $10 million for 1st...and don't feel too bad for your boy, Jordan Spieth...he came in 2nd...and pocketed $3 million...whatever...or, how?...I dunno...

The Pads lost their season home closing game...too bad...they finish on the road...please, work on getting some 1st class pitchers, management...you have 6 months...

The NFL...did play their games...and the mess in Carson continues...half of the stadium was drenched in red...maybe more...as the KC Chiefs were in LaLa Land...the Chargers?...got whupped at 'home'...the gate?...maybe 24,000...really...as the league cringes more...BTW, KC is 3-0, and LAC is 0-3...ha ha ha...

Did notice this...unfortunately not in our area...due to the damn Chargers...listen networks, they bolted from our area...we DO NOT want to watch them...but the Tennessee Titans beat the Seahawks...huge win and keep a close eye out on that team...if you can...apparently, we can't...

DWTS...you watching this?...it really is entertaining...how these peops can learn to dance in a month is amazing...some, have an advantage, of course...in the field of performing...some, just have innate ability...not like moi, who was born with 2 left feet...it's a Native thing...you know, if they used the 'Round Dance', I'd be in the top 5...

Staying on the pixel thinger...PBS's 'Vietnam War' is brilliant...a must for all of us...what really happened...start at the beginning...I think it is a 6 parter....maybe 8...a real look at our administrations over that era...

The antidote to Obamacare appears to be heading to a defeat...even the Repubs themselves can't climb aboard...have you ever seen the likes of this?...a Repub Prez and a Repub majority in Congress and virtually nothing passes?...

Don't feel bad for me, my back is flaring up again...boo...so am passing on the golf today...

Read a story about a fun singing group out of the 70's...the Bee Gees...they were riding high in the Disco era...huge part of the flick 'Saturday Night Fever'...and then, the radio stations had enough of it...called out that Disco sucked...and the group got hammered...and were literally killed from the radio...took a toll on them personally...listen, they were fun and great, at the same time...it can be a brutal biz...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
