Hurricane Harvey

Nothing that strikes more fear than what Mother Nature throws at ya...in this case a Hurricane...the 8th one in the south...named Harvey...monstrous weather that is now over east Texas...got to be as high as a category 4 storm...which means 130 mph winds...and, if you are there...you tie up everything you got...and hope and pray that you are spared and safe...police and firefighters are not responding...terrifying...just now, the pixels are showing the aftermath...hey, living on the Gulf Coast can be beautiful...and also, like this...such warm waters...

OK, much less things that are, or were, happening...

That Mayweather/McGregor fight is tonight in Vegas...the undercard starts at 6...figure the main event  will be around 8:45...so much hype for this...right?...the 'experts' think it will be no match at all...the boxer wins easily...hmmm...that's where the intrigue is...he hasn't knocked any one out for like 10 years, albeit still undefeated...he's 40...and here's the rub...McGregor appears to be nearly crazy...who will try to maul the boxer...hmmm, so it has to be an early exit...well, if you go by what the golfer Rory McIlroy texted 'I hope it's not rigged'...it's always in the mind of all when it comes to boxing...

We are passing on seeing the match live...as we have the Commodores, sans the 'outrageous' Lionel Ritchie, over at the bay...our last SD Symphony Concert...hey, they have been fun and entertaining...something that we will do again next season...but get better and more expensive seats...up by the stage...you know, so we can rush it at the end of the concerts...

Speaking of that...our girl, Sara Evans...had that happen to her in a concert in Temecula...just last week...50 or so peops, jumped ON STAGE!...unfortunately, there was little video of it...but, she, the forever pro...kept right on a singing...as they cleared the hoodlums from her private singing area...wowser, she must have got the audience all fired up...

One week until the college football thinger starts up...yup, can't wait...just may head on out to the Q to take in the Aztecs...we have friends who are big time, make that long time, season tix holders and tailgaters for SDSU...lurve all the excitement and pageantry of a college or university at this time of year...right?...fun stuff...

I mentioned that Tiger/Yank brawl the other day...the perpetrator, Miggy Cabrera, got a 7 game suspension...big for that league...I suggested 2 weeks....close really...no place in the game for that...oh yea, the Pads are in Florida...to serve up more dingers for the HR dude, Stanton...yup, they watched him hit 2 more at the expense of the SD pitchers...hey...I have been talking trash about our former 'all star' Wil Myers...who has been in a 2 month slump...his latest?...0 fer his last 20 at bats...they dropped their RF Renfroe to AAA for his slump...not nearly as awful as Myer's...sit him, dude...

Prez T pardoned the nasty sheriff from 'Zona...the stats on his tenure in the area...is not only staggering, but scary...depending on who you believe...there is info that is just downright unbelievable...check out the bloke...why would the Prez do this?...
