Total Eclipse

So where you gonna be for...the total eclipse of the sun?...are you one of the masses who are traveling up to the premiere path of the eclipse?...which bisects the middle of the country...seeings our roots are from Orygun, we get the poop from up there...the worries of the inhabitants...too many people in the land of the trees, where it just may not be able to handle it...all this for about a 3 minute phenomena...if you miss it, there is another one coming in less than 10 years...let's hope the weather holds up and it's cloud free...

I saw this article on all the things that kind of represent the, or, an eclipse...my fav was the eclipse cookies...you can think of others...

What a surprise last night's show at the Bay was...the San Diego Symphony produced a production of 'Fiddler on the Roof'...simply...fantastic...I had never seen it before...the lead actor was incredible...even my son liked it...go figure...we went with the Mackles and one of my highlights was...Tom Terrific giving me the Elaine 'tap on the head' signal in the middle of the show...I will say this, there are a gaggle of talented people out there...that have little or no notoriety...and they should...

In our free time yesterday, we watched the Solheim Cup...gosh it is fun stuff...as you, my faithful followers know...I'm a fan of team golf...going into the final day...individual matches... the USA is up 5 points...nothing is a done deal, as Europe had the same type of lead the last time, and got beat...I think NBC has it...

Beisbol...there is a part I detest on MLB...the rules that are there, to control a player and his contract...case in point...the rookie RF of the Pads, Hunter Renfroe...the team sent him back down to AAA...they said cuz he's been not hitting well enough...not getting on base to warrant him being in the bigs...hmmm...hidden in the fine print, was something much more sinister...that by sending him down for the rest of the season, San Diego CONTROLS him and HIS contract for an additional year....listen, it's all about the money...I hate it...

If you bought a Powerball Tix, you DIDN'T win...nobody did...and the pot has grown...to $650 million...hey, BTW, have you seen the new VW Van?...well, you can't get one until '22...but it's all electric...cool looking...

One of our excursions i.e. the trip over to Coronado Island...hey, kids, it is a special place in the US...when down here...you must go...just one of the beautiful spots in this land...

Why would someone steal a truckload of Nutella?...do they even sell this stuff anymore?...

Happiness is having your son visit for the weekend...

A friend on Facebook posted their trip pix from Maui this past week...have to admit, I am extremely jealous...we are passing on that venture for the 1st time in 14 years...a mistake?...

Thank you for all the comments on what I blogged yesterday...it is the vulnerability of life...these two were terrific people...and will be missed...

OK...the Horse has to start the process of analyzing the upcoming NFL Fantasy Draft...the who, why, what fors...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
