Ecliptical Timeline

Ah, I'm not sure there is a word, 'ecliptical'...I know there is an elliptical...that's the way the auto correct wants to go...but, I'm fine with my NEW word...so when does this phenomena begin?...of course, it depends on where you are...like your area code...in the west, 9 am starts it all up...let's hope there is (are?) no clouds...the actual full eclipse lasts 2 minutes and 43 seconds...what?...but the partial lasts about an hour...hey, one gets the same thrill in Maui, when the sun goes down...I have taken some breathtaking shots of that...it's like get ready...cause you may miss it....

Just how can we have a Naval ship (the USS John McCain, of all named) get rammed?...and lose 10 Midshipmen in the process...the waters around Singapore must have more crafts afloat than need be...or, was it more than an accident?...this is just early talk...more info to be released today...

Is this a true story that the USA Today released?...that our Secret Service agents, will not get paid cuz of the elaborate trips that the Prez and his family have been taking...really?...how did they get the story?...I dunno, something smells fishy to moi...

USA!....the American gals won the Solheim Cup...defeating the Euros...capped it off with the points needed to get the trophy, by winning enough of the singles events...after building up a substantial margin in the 2 person play...the stars?...Cristie Kerr, Paula Creamer, and well, almost all of them played well...Danielle Kang was super as a rookie...there you go...

Our local pixel station still plays the Chargers games...pooh...and the telecast is flavored with the taste of fake chocolate...glossing over the inadequacies of what the new Bolt's team has to offer...the tiny stadium has a max of 27 grand...the numbers last night were the same as the week before...however, if you turned into the broadcast after half time, that is exactly the numbers there...half the stadium...listed at 21,000...in reality?...probably 10-12...in the NFL!...and in this case, means 'not for long'...bitter?...you betcha...

Just an observation...back a bit, the mighty Pads were closing in on a pennant winning season...really!...we had half season tix ...and then the management did the unthinkable...figuring that we were playing too many rookies, they brought in some vets to finish off the season...we did a nose dive and lost out on the final game of the season...guess what the Bums are doing?...eerily similar thing...propping up AGonzo...buying an aging OF from the Yanks...and sitting or dropping down the rooks who have got 'em in the mix...the Horse is sensing something...

This is the week that I do get out to Del Mar...finally...especially since there is a Pick 6 carryover...hmmm, I have never hit that bet...and I am destined to do so...anyone interested?...

On a serious note...the PGA Tour had it's final tune up for their season ending tournament...it's like boring to moi...too much for what it is...granted, it's a lot of dough to the participants...but really?...some guys are already perched in the upper echelon and DON"T have to play in all of these...it is a  4 tourney playoff...hey, these dudes make a LOT of money...
