The Trade

Morning, kids...feel like talking the NBA?...the over-hyped Cleveland Cavs were in a must trade position due to the disgruntled PG Kyrie Irving...who didn't want to be the wing man for LeBron James anymore...got it?...that is and was the issue...so, the Cavs offered Irving to EVERYONE!...allegedly...even to the GSWarriors for one of the Big 4 there...the Thompson kid...ha ha...just a giggle and there was no interest...

Alas, there was somebody a really nibbling on the bait...right in their own back yard, so to speak...in the east...them Boston Celtics...loaded with a gaggle full of future draft picks...and some desire to have Irving as their PG...a deal was done...they gave in return, their PG, a swingman, an I don't know who he is, and a future draft pick via the Nets (has to be a good one)...4 fer 1...of course, the key for Cleve was Isiah Thomas...

Let's look...there is just ONE team that can combat the Cavs in that side of the bracket...yup, the Celts...and now...in the Horse's mind...the better bet!...Cleveland needs shooters...they need a real, bonafide coach...they didn't get either...Boston now has ammo to win the east outright...so...bet a quid on 'em...

I read so many of the posts of the people up in Orygun who witnessed the eclipse...'life changing?'...was one...all we saw down here, was what ABC showed us on the pixels...it was cool...mighty cool...real phenomena...

Hard to imagine a team looking more like a AA team yesterday, than that effort the Pads made last night...unbelievable mistakes...shoot, it was worse than you or I, can write here...even the managerial decisions were odious...bad bad bad beisbol...

Wonder if Paula Creamer can ride her new found golfing prowess, that came out in the Solheim Cup?...win a few on tour...or, at least one...hoping for her...

Had a great time at the races yesterday...actually won just less than a $100...which was diminished by a controversial ruling by them stewards...I had a longer shot win...$10 on it to win/place...and they took it down to 2nd...booo...still cashed OK, but it was like 13-1...you do the math...I was upset...they almost NEVER DQ a hoss...boooooo...

Believe it or not, we are heading back into a heat wave around here....it's been cool at night, and decent in the day...about to change...

Let's be real here...Prez T is not a good speaker...we saw it in the campaign...and it has got no better...the same...however, to have to stomach a book about the loser...Hillary, and why she lost the election...her 'personal' side of the story...to borrow her line 'it made my skin crawl'...what?...something like that...fuggit about it Ms Clinton and move on...for all of our sakes...please...

$687 million bucks richer is somebody in Massachusetts...a Powerball winner...only one ticket...egads, there goes my dreams...wait, I didn't buy a tix...still...$780 million or whatever...

Only in the NY Post...an article screaming out that your boy, Tom Cruise, filled out his pants...his butt part, with additives of some sort...what?...this is great stuff!...

Man, I don't like these warnings...about food safety...throw away them sponges...they are hotbeds of bad things that live in the pores...same with the wash cloths...unless you wash them every time...the solution?...use paper towels...hmmm...is that what you do?...

I'm rolling...ever wonder when you stop at a fast food restaurant...er, burger joint...and just seconds after you order....VOILA!, there is your food...how long has it been sitting under the heat lamp?...here's the Horse's key...ask for a burger without the pickles...you'll get one hot (ish) off the grill...you can thank me later...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
