Monday Decaf

Morning, ya'll!...went to our SD daughter's wedding yesterday...long story...it was great and she and her new hubby are a perfect match...man, that is two weddings in a couple of months...been like 20 years since the last one...maybe more...we must be bad gift givers...er, maybe bad friends...or maybe, we have no friends...or, well you can draw your own conclusions...ha ha...here's a pix of what we call the "wedding crashers"...

After perhaps the worst week ever...EVER...for the Donald...he must rebound for some positive showing...if possible...I keep telling ya to wait for the debates....there are those who say that he will be even worse in them...hmmm...I don't think so...as he held his own during those in the Repubs...anyway...most of you Demos are feeling mighty happy right now...and you should be...this does look like a slam dunk...right?...

Deja Vu...Delta Airlines shut down all flights...world wide...computer glitch...hmmm...doesn't that seem eerily like what we went thru with Southwest Airlines a few weeks ago?...nobody wants to use the word "hack" in their briefing...well, I do...more sophistical in their computer setup is necessary...Horse sense...

Mr. 58...Jimmy Furyk...after he blistered the course at the Travelers...lowest score in the history of the game...the rest of the field, that was in the hunt to win the T, had trouble getting like ANY birdies...and the kid from Scotland emerged...Russell Knox...a whole gaggle of Americans were close by...including the 49 yr old Jerry Kelly...a crowd fav...who lost by a single shot...

The Prospects lost a close one to the upstart Phillies in the GQ...ah yes, a home loss...boo...actually had an extreme low light...hit into a triple play...if you can't say anything positive don't say anything at all...silence...

You watching the Rio Olympics?...hmmm...not me much...there are like 4 or 5 channels that have it a blazing...I'll do so when the hoops comes back on...I tried to find the gals basketball yesterday and could not...it's early, but I hate the coverage...hate?...maybe too strong...

Sooo...I have 3 days of golf on the schedule this week...gonna go down into storage and bring up my Ping Irons...and replace my now "vintage" Nike ones...well, let's give them a go this week...might there be a difference?...ha ha...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
