Happy 4th!

So how will you be celebrating our 4th of July?...the nation's birthday...seems like we have always seeked out a spot for some fireworks...right?...odd, cuz downtown we have near nightly fireworks...really...on the bay...but...this one is special in the GQ...we kind of take it for granted, that the weather will cooperate...hmmm...don't ask the eastern part of the country, right now...as they are getting hammered with ridiculous wet stuff...

We lived in fear of the "domino theory" as we were growing up...meant that the Communists were overtaking the world...the reason we were in Vietnam, right?...I digress...well, on a much less take on the terminology...much less...well, it doesn't even have any tangency whatsoever...but I want to use it...for the NBA...what?...who signs the free agent Kevin Durant...

Here's the deal...many teams are waiting to see what he does...kind of cool that he...get that HE...has the option to move to where HE wants...not like the piece of meat one is when they are drafted into the league...oops, I digress again...cuz...he is going to get a huge amount of money...YUGE!...and those teams that he interviewed....that do not get his services...will then sign others...thus, the dominoes will fall...HE says he will reveal who HE chose today...
BREAKING...Kevin Durant to the....drum roll please...the Golden St Warriors!...did NOT see that happening...

Just a mere month ago, you couldn't even fathom that the pro golfer, Dustin Johnson, would ever win on the big stage...he seemed to choked up the T's...bad putting and all...not now...no way...as he came from a bit back and overtook the number 1 in the world, Jason Day...and won yet again at Firestone...man, he hits it that far...and now he has the confidence to close...you have to figure he is the one to beat...as the boys go over the pond for The Open...

You reading anything about the sludge that is covering the east coast  of Florida?...where ever the free water hits the ocean waters...egads, it is awful...apparently, has not hit Cocoa Beach...yet...our condo site...

The Padres could not close themselves...had an opp to sweep the Yankees...nope...the bodacious Sunday record held up...we lose at record setting rates on the Sabbath...wait, remember when the cities closed down on Sundays?...nothing was open...nothing...my, how times have changed...

I'm thinking that like, DJ, the gals have the same type of phenomena hit their tour in the LPGA...Brooke Henderson...who is now winning everything she enters...just won again up in Portland, Oregon...

Big Brother...you following this CBS summer series?...I know, don't throw mud at me...we get hooked...and it is a staple for our household...we each pick who we think will win...I got Frank...Marsh has Nicole...both are returning vets...

Running mates...who will be the running mates?...I'm sure there are odds on it in Vegas...who you have?...odds on are Liz Warren and Chris Christie...early favorites...

OK, now I have an app for your iPhone....er, cell phone...whatever you have...that is better than what the phone uses...the camera...Camera +...check it out...the thing I like, is that you can zoom the picture...and the picture clarity doesn't change...take your pix normally...and then...in the app itself, you can alter the pix...

Party on tonight..."Party on, Wayne"...yup, that's exactly what the building's party is like...Wayne's World...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
