Walk Off!

Morning kids...how is this festive weekend treating ya?...well...closer to home...I mean, real close...the amenity room right is beneath us...we are on the 5th floor and it is on the 2nd...is finally finished...and...last night, there was a gala party there...private one...do NOT know who the hosts were...but, it was great to see the area being used...just in time for the 4th...

You know what the term "walk off" is?...for baseball...a dude who hits the game winning run in, gets the walk off tab...well now...the Pads are hosting the Yankees...the mighty and all powerful club that knows no limits on spending for their players...this season...NY has been floundering at .500...just a bit better than us...

Guess who won again?...our San Diego Padres!...taking the two we have played thus far...on a "walk off"...none other than Melvin Upton, Jr...er, he was called BJ...on a massive home run...in the bottom of the 9th...this is way cool, kids...as most of the crowd was the turncoat Yanks...we have a boatload of fans, that take great pride in dressing up in the opponents garb...happens when the Bums, Giants, Cubbies, Red Sox, and Pirates hit town...ha ha, but never the DBacks...BTW, it was Jr's 3rd such of this season...

New, for the league...is the use of instant replay to check on validity of a call that one of them blind umps made...and...the manager of the teams can ask for it to be reviewed...apparently, the blind guys then go to the area that is roped off for the review...they talk to the hub that does such a thing...in New York City...what?...can't they have another bloke at the park, looking at the monitor?...anyway, they had 3 in question last night...that took almost 5 minutes to judge...c'mon...and I think the "reviewers" blew 2 of them...bad thinger...so says the Horse...

I guess the Hillary phone thing is not dead...as she met with the FBI for 3+ hours yesterday...not sure what the issue is...but, there is a lot of commotion about her hubby's meeting with the AG Lynch...you know, the "chance" one...

How about this?...my group had a terrific day at the links yesterday...Sycuan Oak...really...probably the best overall for some time...a 74, 78, 81, and 83...guess which one was mine?...without a doubt, my best tee to green day this year....but couldn't make many putts fall...still, felt so good about the round...

Geez, I keep getting the itch for the All Star game...I have noticed that the prices are falling on some tix at Stub Hub...now, it is really intriguing me...Cris is out...maybe I can convince Marsh to join me...if I just hit the Pick 5...just heard this...and it is breaking news....Marsh is going with me!...OK, now I have to find tix...

Here's one for you former American Idol fans...hmmm...the show is now defunct...done...cancelled...kaput...finished...no more JLo...it's over...but...one of the contestants on the final season...Tristan...got to sing at the Grand Ol Opry...she is a star in the making...trust Horse...

Money money money!...these pro athletes are signing contracts worth millions!...it is rampant...good for them, I guess...my feelings are that the teams are making too much money...that the common man is getting ripped off....geez, just like at the All Star tix...OK...here is what I would do...as a GM...sign a player for no more than 3 years...imagine what the Colts did for their QB Luck...5 years...and he was hurt last season...really?...

Yes, I am rambling...but look at the NBA....all these blokes are signing in the tens of millions of bucks...changing teams...duh...the Blazers are trying to sign Pau Gasol...why?...this just in, looks like Toronto is getting him....whew...

We are venturing out to Starbucks for some grub...later gator...
