Top of the morning to you, kids...the MTV Awards...did you watch?...ha ha...Nikki with a grotey start to it all...the bumping and gyrating, like XXX style...I guess it's funny, right?...the Taylor Swift crossover...it seemed uncomfortable to me for some reason...giving the best video award to Cyrus...which in itself is a joke...and then she tried to do a humanitarian thing...like, right...and lordy, 20 minutes of Beyonce...what?...at an awards show?...puulllleeeeaaassseeee....and we move on...

Buddy won his 600th game with the Pads...really?...in this day and age of movement, er, firing...he has withstood a whole gaggle of GM's...convinced 'em all that he is the best that they can get...hmmm...who'd a guess that the team won 600 games in the last decade...

College is kicking off this week...for a lot of schools...and with it, the beginning of football...easily my fav for the year...and a list of games that are fillers to start off...you know the type, big spreads...and huge scores for the rich...a few good ones this week...they are:
S Carolina and Texas A&M
WSU and Rutgers
Georgia and Clemson
USC and Fresno St (just curious)

I can remember back when we dropped off Cris at Pomona....his freshman year...1st time away from home...as we drove away, I teared up for many miles...

You must be aware of the hoss, Shared Belief...an undefeated one, that just got the Pacific Coast Classic...3 yr old...on it's way to the Breeder's Cup...THIS WEEK, I will go to Del Mar...

If you read the Trib, you'd a thunk that the Bolts are progressing in the positive way....what am I missing?...they don't seem ready for the big time, from what I have seen...

I apologize for saying what I did about Hunter Mahan...he won $1.4 million for the Barclays...he can coast for a long while...you know, rest on his laurels...and may have just won his way onto the Ryder Cup...not bad...

It's cut time for the NFL teams...down to 70, and then a week later, to 53 or so...at the same time, MLB squads increase for the last of the year...downers and uppers...ha ha...

6.3 quake in Napa Valley...eegads...been in one that I can remember here...had one in Oregon, too...

FF draft is a week away...I have to start studying...and at this time, like A Rodgers from the Pack...fuggit about it...I pick like 6th or 7th...Brees, Charles, or McCoy more likely...gots to find a good book...draft book, that is...

And for the funniest thing of the night...yup, KK was there at the MTV's...and she was a presenter...nice that they have great singers doing the presenting...and her giddup was the best...wore a drapery curtain to partially cover up her assets...
