Pizza

Hey, greetings all!...yup, I'm back...a getaway to one of our fav places, Palm Springs...90* and perfect...just a couple of hours away...got to play golf at Rancho Mirage CC for a super low price...May is a great time to go...apparently, the snow birds have flown back to their homes...anyway...

Today I have to talk about PIZZA...there are some good ones out there...originally a Pietro's back in Oregon...then the manager opened up his own shop...called it Padington's...and it has been the best that we have had...now Galucci's is a close second...all up in the PNW...so how about down here?...the Lamppost is dang good...BUT...we now have found the best one of all...really...Bill's...in downtown Palm Springs...the crust is perfect and the toppings are real...with a goodly amount of cheese...it is superb...pictured here is Bill's Special...

OK, it was a disastrous Preakness...with 4/5 fav Orb out of the top 3...eegads...absolutely destroyed me...I had him figured 1st, and at worst 2nd...and he was done at the 1/2 pole...dang...

The Pads have a chance today to halve the series with the Nats...come on hitters...get 5 runs and we get the V...

We were like college kids last night...went bar hopping in PS...it was fun...met up with the newly married Wahls...and, as you can see, got my pix with none other than the famous Lesley Gore...it's my
party...well, it was our party....

I have to say that PS is just a great getaway...could only happen with the Mackles watching over our daughter...they are special...

You watching any of the Byron Nelson?...talk about high winds...not a fan of golf in that...and judging by the scoring, neither are the pros...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
