Just a sip


I ranted yesterday (justifiably)...and today I'm a tipping one or two...or is it sipping...or chugging...or downing...or slurping...or nursing...fact is it's time to talk about my favorite drinks...and not all alcoholic...
You may think of these as like the worst as we all have different taste buds...
I am totally engrossed in to the Cabs...rampant here in SD due to the climate and rarely do I dislike a good one out of Napa, Sonoma, or Alexander Valleys....generally speaking anything above $15 is a measure, but I have told you about Trellis before ($5) and Avalon ($13), which is organic...whatever that means...I love the Markham Merlot as it is pure butter...if you jump to the Pinots, Oregon has the market and I am crazy about Cristom...but, it's sooooo expensive...if you haven't tried the Witness Tree Chardonnay you are missing a beaut...and I'm not crazy about the Chards...
Brewskies...I'm all over Bud or Bud Lite, depending if I'm on a diet...but really am into Belgium beers...have you tried Blue Moon?  Make it be ice cold and a Padre game and I pretty much can lap up any of the choices....by the way, at the games they cost a cool $8.25 a bottle...ouch
Coke or Pepsi?  First of all, it's always the diet version...way too much sugar for me in the real stuff...prefer the Diet Coke as it is not as sweet tasting as the Diet Pepsi...and all the knock-offs are terrible...just don't go there...
Tap or bottled water?  Back in Orygun there isn't much difference...down here there is a huge one...you have to go with the bottled and I'm not sure Costco is any better or worse than Ralph's, Albertson's, or Von's...it's just all way better than tap...
Orange juice...we tried making our own for awhile...good god that's a mess...always not from concentrate and we prefer Simply Orange...but Costco's is a close second, 'cuz you have to buy so much of it...
Coffee...you are spoiled back up there with Dutch Bros...they're not down here, and it's Starbuck's or bust...French Roast...actually, the bolder the better...if I hit the store, it's always a tall-non-fat-white-chocolate-mocha...no whip...
Bourbon...my faves are Beam and Maker's, but for the big buzz it's Jack...hey, you can pay more, but it's sippin time...Blanton's is great...I prefer with Diet Coke...
I think that's pretty much all I imbibe...
I'll have another...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
