The Beginning...


For the positives of the day, it was all shattered in the Middle East...as Iran launched over 200 missiles into Israel...and that war has begun...'The Iron Shield' intercepted most of them...but, from what I see, the Iran braintrust felt that more is better...it will no doubt trigger a response from Israel...and I think a devastating one...figure in the next few hours...really...pound for pound, Israel is the toughest nation in the world...Iran will feel the impact...without a doubt...more to come...

The positive...the Friars shut out the Braves (hey now now), 4-0...with 3 major events...two guys that came our way in the Soto trade with the DAMN YANKEES, Michael King and C Higgy...King had 12 K's and Higgy a topper HR...the 3rd, was Jr blasting the 1st pitch he saw for a 2 run dinger...and now...game 2, with a chance to move on...yes, my son and I have tix for game 3, if necessary...one more thing, up until the SD game, the other 3 frays were all won by the visitor...

The VP debate...it was kind of a toss up...throw out the stupid rhetoric that JD had to say for his fearless leader, and he was not bad...he just may be the next candy man for that side...if he can distance himself from trump...Walz was just what I thought he would be...down home, and a quality guy...yes, a teacher and a coach...that went into politics...and will serve just fine as the country's VP...

Tickled to see that Sabrina and Co. are up 2-0 over the Vegas gals...now back to Nevada, and we shall see what that means...fingers crossed...

The Duck game this weekend, is actually on Friday...the former Beav coach, J Smith, leads his new team...the Mich St Spartans...into Eugene...what is the line?...24, I think...hmmm...

Nothing ever surprises me about the NFL...these are huge human beings...that collide like crazy...upsets?...not yet...it should take at least 3 days to recover from those games...maybe longer...

BTW, there is no crowd better and more rabid than the Friar one...hungry...yes...hungry for a rematch with the Bums...and more...don't hate them...but do hate the Lakers...we need a hoop team in San Diego...

Yes, the way the 2 moderators at the debate, so seemed like a SNL skit...right?...Tina and Amy, here they come...has to be in the works...'c'mon ladies, I thought you couldn't fact check me?'...JD...

Looks like we are going thru a heat wave for the next few weeks...in October?...what the heck?...but thankfully, cool at nite...

This came to me from the Dude...it's a match play championship...golf, kids...on the last hole...tied...and Roger hits his drive right down the middle...his opponent, Dick, hits one way right, into the woods...they both go look for the ball...and, finally Roger goes back and hits his shot onto the green...then, outta nowhere, Dick yells out 'found it!'...and rockets his shot to 2 inches for a gimme...Roger missed his putt...Dick is jumping up and down on the green, just like Tom Kim did in the Prez Cup...does Roger pull out the ball in his pocket, that Dick lost?...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
