Morning, kids...day 3 of the excursion up north...this is the golf/spa day...depending on who is asked....yesterday was quite the experience...the wine tour...to 3 of the Temecula Wineries that we were not familiar with...not close to the Casino at all...
My worst fears in all of this trip, was the age gap that was obvious...the gaggle of 50 year olds and the, well, us...listen, we can hang with the best of them...for one time...tack on more days, and, let's just say it was a problem...subtle, yet one...do not take this as a 'oh poor me' thang...it is a truth...
The wineries were all packed to the gills...it was Veteran's Day...thus, the numbers I reckon...now, I can't tell you the names of the places...but the 1st had dynamite chardonnay...and I am NOT a chard person...had we not been packing and walking elsewhere, I would have bought a fair share of them bottles...the group was friendly and it was fun...the mention of departing to winery 2, as we were up on a mountain was not enticing...
Off we went and the first two who arrived were US...the elders...ah, right...another packed spot, with not so good wines...food...need food...not there...and we sat...talked and those heathens kept on drinking...
The walk to number 3 was odious...and you get the drift...we were the first ones there again...so much for the 'elders' not making it...of course, we were NOT as drunk as all others...food was the attraction here, we were told...ah, it was food, but not so good...but, it was food...and WE decided to call it a night...
Got an Uber...and waited...met up with many of our group in the smoking area...ha ha...many of these kids are smokers...don't get it...they asked if we were departing, as we held up the Uber signal...here comes the subtlety...one bloke was going to go back, too...and was asked 'you leaving with the old people?'...
To be fair, there were some other elders, who had more common sense to skip the wine tour...however, one fell earlier, and had some sprains to deal with...and...my tummy hurt from the 'food'...
So you are thinking that age is a hot topic on me brain...sometimes...as we all will be there...even those 50 year olds...got notice that a fellow Vik, had died...my age...out of the blue...makes you wonder...gosh, this whole blog is of this sort of thing?...c'mon Horse...
Arizona went Democrat for their Senator...and we wait on Nevada...too close to call...you know I ponder this...what happens if you are in the minority in the Senate or the House?...do you just vote no on all the proposals?...hell of a job...someday, we will find a way to agree on things, not just work on finding flaws...
Ducks at 4 and the Beavs at 6...man, that I-5 will be clogged, right?...must wins for both...
Temecula is beautiful and growing....value is real...can get a great house for $800 grand...
Golfer Pat Perez is talking big time crap on Lefty...says that Mickleson crossed the line on him...what does that mean?....stay tuned...
OK, sure...I forgot my shaver...and granted, I look like hell...but all of youse, have facial hair, too...the diff?...mine is white...
