Happy Valentine's Day

A very cheery, Happy Valentine's Day to ya'll...egads, the weather down here in SD is just awful...RAIN!...and lots of it...'but we need it'...imagine that phrase used in Oregon...right?...yup, we lucked out and got 18 holes in, just before it started up yesterday...well, it's a stay in day...watch some pixels and maybe, read a bit...have not started the Chris Christie book yet...

There is another one about to be released...and it's right to the point...the FBI 'acting' leader, just after Comey was fired...Andrew McCabe...it's his account to what went on in the White House...CBS is doing a series of interviews with him...a talking point about what he witnessed and thus, wrote about...and, if true, a very scary time of 8 days that 'could have been'...of course, the Horse will get this one, too...

A JUDGE ruled that Manafort LIED to the Mueller People...in a breach of his 'cooperation' agreement...to stay out of jail...er, prison...the judicial system it out of the reach of the White House...hmmm...Manafort must believe his is going to get a PARDON...well, then, Trump has HIS way of over-riding the judges...you feeling nauseated?...

For all of the Blazer bashing I have done, lo and behold, Dame and the boys did a number on the visiting Golden St Warriors...unleashed a barrage of points and got the runaway WIN!...this was partly due to a complete meltdown of GS's HC Kerr...who got tossed, and after all the FT's and follow up shots, led to an 8 point play...well, that was it...maybe a change of attitude for PDX?...

Oregon...by the way, is celebrating it's birthday...in 1859, they were given statehood on this date, February 14...makes it 160 yrs old, huh...

Thinking about the 'love in the air' thang of movies...do you have a fav?...it's called a ROM-COM, right?...not sure if I can answer this Q with any real substance...but, in my era (?), if Meg Ryan was in it, it qualified...are there others that I am missing?...JLo?...wait, the winner of the OSCAR, Emma Stone...yes, she qualifies...any more?...c'mon, Horse, you forgot about your FAV, Rachel McAdams...right...

China has it's own cell phone company that rivals the ones we have, Apple and Samsung...and it sells mighty well over there...Huawei...pay attention to this, kids...as it is gonna get here...

Staying 'techy'...I'm reading more and more about ways around the cable tv monopolies...that there are 'over the air' antennas, that pick up HD quality channels...of course, it depends where you live and all...BUT...how would one get the most essential internet, er, web net?...well, you know what I am saying...

I just read this most highly inaccurate piece of journalism in the NY Post...that restaurants don't really like Valentine's Day....give me a break...they are slammed, witness how hard it is to get a reservation...they are selling and servicing their product quite well, so phooey to the notion otherwise...and...our meal at Eddie V's was simply...DIVINE!...

Man, I tell ya, our weather changes so fast down here...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
