Devastation

The after effects of the largest fire in the history of the state of California...barren land...and the dreaded worry of massive inches of RAIN!..which causes mudslides...my son and I have talked about it for weeks...well, ever since the Thomas Fire was mostly contained...Mother Nature did her thing again...exactly, what we feared!...

Horrific mudslides...from all those burnt out areas...and the land just gushed toward the Pacific...oh so close to his practice...Montecito, in particular, has shown the most destruction...it is the headline item on most pixel news shows...plus, the details of many people stranded...couldn't get out in time...scary sh---...

15 are known to have lost their lives...many more are unaccounted for...Cris keeps reminding me and themselves...of how many times they have looked in that area for a home to buy...he is fortunate to be where their condo homesite is, safely tucked within...I believe the storm is winding down...and the cleanup begins...let's only hope the death total is finite and not infinite...

We have had our fair share of the rains...listen kids, the people around here have no idea how to drive in it...sounds similar to the snow thing, huh...but, the oil from the highways seep up, and make them so slick...yet, the crazies keep right on a truckin' at their normal speeds...egads...

The coronation of the 'Bama Coach, Nick Saban, as the grandest of all collegiate coaches ever...has begun...after his 6th title...maybe deserved...but, hey, it's all about recruiting...I mean he had a legitimate first string QB on his bench...BENCH!...and had not started one game...and this...humongous cheers went out from the entire D-1 coaches...that Nick may be heading to Manhattan to coach them Giants...hmmm, I guess they play in Jersey...whatever...

Is this not a broken record?...I have yet to find the book...'Fire and Fury'...read (ha ha) somewhere that there were 29,000 copies sold already...not and ONE....gonna try today...I'm hearing that the story is OK, but the quotes in it are...priceless...well, worth $30 bucks...

Rumors abound...that the new, er, new version of American Idol...now on ABC...rescued from FOX...will not show the auditions, that for better words, were awful...ah come on...really?...are the producers the same?...wondering out loud...

I'm bewildered...there were the gala after parties for the Golden Globes in LaLa Land...noting the stars that were basking about...and the KFam was listed...wait, they are stars now?...give us all a break...

ESPN covered, both visually and in words, the Ball Bros in Lithuania...their hoop game with 17 yr olds...say what you want, but this LaVar is milking every single drop out he can....and somehow, ESPN is the dairy...

South Korea and North Korea are talking?...what?...kudos are going out to Prez T for enabling this...if true...Olympics are part of the reason?...I dunno...any step is a good one...for these two...
