National Date Nut Bread Day

And you only thought that the Horse talked about sports...you have but 2 options...get into your recipe books and find the perfect Date Nut Bread one...or, jaunt on down to the store, er bakery, and buy one...and CELEBRATE the day...slather it with real butter, some French raspberry preserves...couple it with a white chocolate mocha...and there you go...

How are your college football bowl predictions going?...I'm 6-3 thus far...with my pix for this day...Ohio and Wyoming...hmmm, wonder if the Cowboys highly heralded QB is playing?...or saving himself for the NFL draft...that some of the blokes are doing, rather than playing in these meaningless bowl games...wait, they mean a lot to me...well, as far as this bloody pool goes...

Taped the finals of the Survivor...shhh, don't tell me who won...fuggit about it...as, it was throughout the airwaves yesterday...so, I know...but the story, appears to be a fun one...have to watch it tonight...

Looks like the Santa Barbara and Montecito areas dodged a huge hit!...they were saved...thanks to the shift of the winds...and them dying down...and the terrific work of the firefighters...such a scary thing...for sure...

SDSU hoops...there has been a switch in coaches...the long time assistant to Coach Steve Fisher got the job...and...had the time of his life last eve...as the Aztecs stunned the Gonzaga Bulldogs!...what?...Brian Dutcher...has to be on cloud 9 today...

Staying with SDSU...this time in football...travel to Texas and play the entire Armed Forces of the Hudson River...they play the triple option thing...and without turnovers...can kill a lot of the clock...watch for the RB of the Aztecs, Rashaad Penny, to have a huge game...

Little has been written lately about the massacre in Vegas...58 people were killed...anyway, the coroner released his findings today...all were shot by the lone assassin...and he then took his own life...just a waste...an absolute waste of mankind...I don't get it...

So sad to say that the long time announcer of many sporting events, ie the Padres...Dick Enberg, died yesterday at the age of 82...

Thinking about the headline for the day...do you still have a bakery in your town?...most super markets have one...but a stand alone bakery?...hmmm...

Finally, we are going to search down in the storage for our pole...you know, the one used to celebrate tomorrow...Festivus...for the rest of us...I digress...

And that's the way it is...12/22/17...
