Chances Are

Hey, ya'll...it's a complex next set of days this week...in case you haven't heard...the Thomas Fire...has been approaching the towns of Montecito and Santa Barbara...ferocious winds...gusting in the 60 and 70 mph range...makes the fighting of it...the spreading of it...virtually impossible...to stop...

Good news for this am...the winds have died down...there...so, the 8,000 or so firefighters will unleash everything the have on the incredulous flames that have now become...the 3rd worst fire in the history of the state...impossible to believe...and the threat of losing everything you have...beyond anyone's comprehension...

If you are from there, get OUT...and let those who are trained to do their thing...if you are one that prays...please do so...for all affected...hey, if you want to follow this...there is a Livestream on the web net...KEYT...they are doing a 24 hour coverage...

Other...much less meaningful...

The college football season began in earnest yesterday...6 of the 41 on the books...and one of those was the Vegas Bowl...pitting the Ducks vs Boise St...the effort put out by UO was highly questionable ...new coach...their best RB not playing to insure him not getting hurt prior to the NFL draft...and they were incredibly disorganized...a head scratcher...hmmm, I will say this...the Mountain West Conf has a lot better teams than they get credit for...witness SDSU, who beat two Pac 12ers...ie, Stanford!...

I find the list of bowls...a joke...when the better players choose to miss the games...maybe, just maybe, that's an indicator of their importance...not important at all...right?...

Now THIS is big stuff...you ever have this as an issue?...your office chair, always...I mean always goes poof and slinks down to the lowest level...the power part gives way...so, off to the web net to find a solution...other than getting a newbie, it says to do this...buy a piece of cylindrical plastic...and a pair of clamps...cut off the amount that fits the height...and place it in the space and clamp it on...geez, really?...hmmm, I think I will look for another $100 buck chair....Merry Xmas...

Heard back from some of youse yesterday about YOUR plight of losing your wallet...misery loves company...yet, the salvation of it all...hey, thanks for the input...still, there are great people out there...who do the right thing...it is way cool...

Speaking of POOF!...that was the season of the LaLa Chargers exploding...as they got their arses handed to them by the KC Chiefs...geez, after all the commotion of the re-emergence of the Rivers led Chargers...ha ha, Spanos...speaking of arses...

MLB can deal real wild trades...none wilder than what the Bums did...traded 4 blokes (ie the washed up Adrian Gonzalez) for the oldie but goodie, former Bum, Matt Kemp...what?...not sure what on earth that was all about...weird...
