A Day At The Races

Morning, kids...it's been hustle and a bustle for the past couple of days...had an emergency dental trip up to Santa Barbara, to see our dentist...well, the kids...and have some work done...ah hem, this time on Marsh....I have to tell you...he is the best...if you are in need, look him up...no bias, just fact...pictured here is Cris's first dental exam...on my mother...

The travel from here to there is not easy...whenever you drive thru LA it is a mess...so many cars...the 405 is brutal, the 5 even worse...took us 5 1/2 hours to return...toss in the 5 o'clock traffic just north of SD...and there you have it...total frustration...

Today...is one of leisure...as we head on out to Del Mar...for a day at the races...can't believe it's my first time out this season...it's the one with Marsh's Work Force...at the Turf Club...you know the drill...ladies in dresses with pompous hats...dudes with sport coats, long pants, closed toed shoes, and gregarious caps to get by the stuffy checkers in the elevators...Pick 5 is calling me name...her boss takes care of us, and it's a celebration in itself...really a lot of fun...

The west coast has had it's share of heat and humidity...with that comes the air turbulence...like T storms...a rare occurrence down here...go east of us...just like 40 minutes and they are a popping and shooting...and flash flooding...

I saw an article that came across the Twitter wire...it is a wire, right?...that the Faith Hill and what's his name Tour is on hold for a bit...she has lost her voice...told ya...they are soothing hers, until they get to the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville...

Speaking of there...Carrie Underwood's hubby...the captain of the Nashville Predators...the hockey team that came in 2nd...Mike Fisher...announced his retirement...37...and retired...hmmm...keep your wife a working, dude...works for moi...

A lull in the storm of negativity...as most of my eleven sources have had some trouble ripping apart something...they wouldn't or couldn't possibly post something positive...so they mull about the Prez and his policy on people getting across the border...old news...oh yea...and the thrilling comment 'allegedly' made by Prez T, that the White House is a dump...does he sleep there?...

Hey, back in Salem, Orygun...that's right...back home...one of the blokes I did radio with...Jerry Gilman...announced his retirement...class guy...did the commentary on high school football and basketball games forever...a shout out to him and trusts he enjoy his next phase...

I refuse to comment on any of the ludicrous comparison comments that the Ball kid's dad makes...about his son or himself...a foo...or worse...

Eleven days in July...Scaramuchi...his book is titled this...'My Rise and Fall in the Trump White House'...has but one chapter...and it's a short one, to boot...

Let's see...gots to clean up around here...as them Snookies invade tomorrow...buy some humongous quantities of bourbon and now, get this, tequila...download the past performance of the hosses running today from the Daily Racing Form...do some studying...gad zooks, I better get going...
