Magic in LaLa Land

Once proud Los Angeles Lakers...the Lake Show...this organization has fallen to their lowest limits...you know, the NBA is all about talent...and definitely less on who is trying to collar the dudes...the coaching staff...you have to have stars...and LA has none...zero...back to back awful drafts...and there you go...

Many have said the problem is  the ownership and the GM...could be a combo...well, this one elite group...fired their GM, Mitch Kupchak...and hired one of them Laker 'Stars' of the past...to rekindle what once was...Magic Johnson...who will be the Prez...he has yet to hire a GM...one thing is to play the game, another is to manage it...here's the deal...they need good drafts and good trades...to resurrect what once was...is there gonna be Magic in La La land?...time will tell...

The Beats has the bad arse gals of country on...the Dixie Chicks...hey, they were and are greeeaattt...terrific harmonies and they don't avoid issues...imagine what they will come up with, to voice their opinion on this regime...I'm just saying...we saw them in concert...gulp...at least 10 years ago...so much fun...

Back to the NBA...this is the time that all these teams are jockeying to get into position for the possible playoffs...like what the Pelicans did in getting Boogie...look at what the teams will do to get Melo from the Knicks...the Clip Show?...hmmm...kind of figure that the TWolves will be active...BTW, the Blazers are a sinking ship...oops, too much info, Horse...

Local pro hoopster...a former WNBA star, is making a statement...reverse discrimination, I guess...she called it bullying...Candice Wiggins...super talented lady...revealed that she was picked on unmercifully for being....straight...her words, now, is that the league is 98% gay...she was very uncomfortable to be and play in the league...

The Travel Ban redux...Prez Trump is coming up with an alternative to the one he first implemented and got stuck in the courts...I have not heard the proposal yet...well, not sure if it's gonna be that, or a directive...and left for those to go back to the courts...and the hint is, not mass deportations...what?...hmmm...stay tuned...

Yup, I did go out and hit the golf ball with the Oregonians...and by the back nine I felt enough strength to use both legs to swing...sounds strange, but true...was hitting off the front leg only...and I feel fine today...hey, and it's all about me...

My friend, BG, made light of me referring to  the number of hits that were on my blog....ha ha...I am tickled and elated when I see over 100 peops reading...me...

The ticket prices for the upcoming Breeder's Cup out at Del Mar were announced...oh my...not sure if I want to pony up a grand to be there to bet a grand...hey, Hdcp Andy, what YOU think?...

'Can't Help Falling In Love'...just reached GOLD...this by the former American idol gal, Haley Reinhardt...give it a spin...like a real singer...and who might I be referring to?...

Does it surprise you that when the golfing world expounds on the abilities of Dustin Johnson (DJ), they feel compelled to also bring up the drug thing and the philandering?...I'm just saying...when does that end?...

And...curious line on the Ducks at Cali game tonight...just 3...hmmm...what these guys know?...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
