No More Excuses

The terror...of it all...imagine...you just get off your flight...on your way to the much needed cruise ship getaway...you are waiting for your luggage to come out on the conveyor belt...and boom boom boom...repeat...boom boom boom...an assassin, who was on YOUR flight, opens up and shoots at all of you...

13 shot in all...five are dead...and the coward, throws his semi-automatic hand gun on the ground...and lays down...waiting to be arrested...sound terrifying to you?...it could have been you or me in that situation...this guy actually had his weapon, 'legally', stored in his suitcase...for the flight...and went into the bathroom...took it out and shot all these people...

Happened in Ft Lauderdale. Florida...the airport there, yesterday...could have been anywhere...the people ran...EVERYWHERE...to get away...as we watched from the usual suspect of immediate news channels...CNN, FOX, and MSNBC...seemed to go on for at least half the day...

In the aftermath, the police and the FBI kept us informed as to what's what...kind of...yes, the FBI was aware of the coward...and on and on...here is my take...we MUST make our country safer...whatever it takes...NO MORE EXCUSES!...I think that the new regime, just might make a huge difference...I am hoping...

And all the while, through this unbelievable tragedy, Anderson Cooper, is talking about Wikileaks...give me a break...let's address home land security...NOW!...

The Warriors blew a huge lead (24 points) and lost in OT to them Grizzlies...at home in Alameda...a stunned crowd...as the GS guys took a whole gaggle of bad shots in the 4th...had some inner turmoil...and showed us...that they are indeed NOT the best NBA team...now...hmmm...

Did get to see the Greek dude that plays for the Milwaukee Bucks...good, but not yet elite...can't even come close to spelling his name...unfortunately for him, he has Jason Kidd as his coach...no bueno...

Jordan Spieth, in the midst of a terrific round of golf at Kapalua...sailing along...hit a bummer on the 17th par 5 hole...actually took a snowman (8)...and settled back into the pack...hmmm...just doesn't have the elite Tiger prowess...

The NFL kicks off their playoffs today...the Lions at Seattle my game of choice...hmmm...closer than the pundits think?...me, too...as the Hawks O not so good...figure this to be a close one...but, shoot, I never pick these games right...never, ever bet on the NFL...

ABC ran a special on the religion (?) Scientology...still say, you make these 'churches' have to pay taxes and you'd see some of these go by the way side...maybe I'm too cynical...

Not sure how the people survive in China with all that smog...BTW, the levels of it (smog) not nearly as bad in LA as once was...but, China...oh my...

Hmmm....all these are fluff in comparison to the tragedy in Florida...
