Tis Tuesday

Top of the morning kids...it's so much better today...yesterday had a number of setbacks and had to cancel me golf....but...it turned out all OK...

Yes, we finally pulled the trigger on the new vehicle...complicated path...as had to take me car to Carmax...and get it appraised...which the car companies recommend...here's the scoop...

Carmax...first of all, the place is a zoo...there are so many people roaming all over...and I'm talking the buyers, the sellers, and the agents...you leave your number...roam the yard...and they call you...and then...like in my case...you sit at a table...and wait your turn to have your car evaluated...they have 4-8 blokes doing that...and on the computer screen you can see where you are on the lineup...this is what they do...secondly, you spend your time spinning your wheels...chatting to the agents...waiting...waiting...

The car place is unbelievable...they are highly reputed...as the vehicles are cleaned up nicely...have a circuit of sites throughout the land...so...you want a specific type...they probably have it...somewhere...here's the rub...there is no lease program...you either have cash, or have to finance the purchase...and due to the vast amounts of cars, there are lots of choices...interesting...

Me?...I just want the evaluation...which came very professionally...it's printed out...the rationale for what the price is...and it's good for a week...they will buy your vehicle for the stated price...basically, the value of it prior to it being sent to auction...in our area, that's in Anaheim...unless it's a newer model, that they will clean up and put on their lot...

So...that's the guideline that is needed to use when you go to your car company to get the NEW car you want...as I was repeatedly told...the value of the rig, will probably be more at Carmax...really?...you know the drill...it's amazing how similar the price ends up...

What I did was I went online and viewed the selling cars like mine...how much the people in general were asking...as it turned out, mine was very competitive...it was in great shape...low miles...and the price they gave me was very fair...I used to do this all the time...

I did a bit of bartering...got a little more than Carmax...and got the new car I wanted...the BMW...leased it for 3 years...and I must say...it's the nicest one I have ever driven...and the technology is amazing, to borrow the Bachelorette's verbiage....

Sports...and other stuff...

The Pads blew a game last eve to the Angels...questionable 9th inning decision by Buddy...duh...that was after a huge offensive effort to avoid the sweep versus the Bums...the day before...you KNOW how I feel...you know I have watched a lot of baseball over the years, and I have never seen the likes of incredible decisions that this manager does or doesn't do...

The Rockets got a W...got a W!...down 3-0 and on their last leg...in rain and weather tormented Houston...scary part of the game, was when the Warriors star, Curry, fell hard to the ground...looked like it banged his head bad...

You know who Reality Steve is?...he's the bloke who's blog has the insight of what's going on in the Reality TV world...especially the Bachelor and Bachelorette...don't search it out if you don't want to know who the gal is gonna pick...it's done...I won't even give you a hint...

The Stones...it was the concert of the season...and we didn't go...hmmm...the price of the tix was just too much...seats were about $375 a piece...for decent ones...of course, many peops from our condo went...and the consensus was that it was a great one...especially the energy of Mick...

The 1st country to allow, er make legal, the gay marriage thinger is Ireland...good on them...what century are we in?...

It's Tuesday and time for some new stuff on iTunes...been awhile since I have dug any of the new ones...

Finally...a flick that I am interested in...released this weekend..."Aloha"...check out the trailer...

Have a good one, kids...
