Fumbleroosky

Wooah...what in the world?  For all the creative juices that people heap on Coach Chip Kelly...it appeared to be not so...in fact, the Duck offense seemed to be in the early stages of it...the QB keeper was not used and limited a key part in the attack...OK, I'm talking the Oregon/LSU stunner...kudos go to the speedy and bigger Bengal Tigers...who pretty much shut down any outside stuff and earned the V...
And now to the next thinger...two big losses for the Ducks on center stage that will knock out any credence to them in the horrible BCS system...sorry, but it's true...so...Oregon must regroup and get after the rest of the season...geez, 4 fumbles will pretty much do it...fumbleroosky was a play, not a series of 'em...disappointing start...

The Pac 12...well...not so good...let's look at it...down this way 1st...USC hangs on and barely, and I mean barely, beat Minnesota...UCLA gets knocked off by Houston 38-34 in Texas...Stanford ran it up on San Jose St. 57-3...Cal whupped Fresno St. 36-21...and...what happened to the Beavers?  Favored by 27 1/2 points, got beat by Sac St...at home in OT...Wash Dawgs survived against East Wash, really?  And doormat, forever it seems, WSU mauled Idaho St. 64-21...OK...it's very early...

A bright light...the San Diego St. Aztecs...rumbled through Cal Poly 49-21...keep an eye on 'em...as they will garner more and more interest...dang good QB and a dynamite RB...a sidelight...CP has beaten SDSU often...but...they run that dang triple option...what decade are we in...or century?  Once you get behind, you are through...time to get yourself another boss, CP....the page has turned...

Speaking of getting new bosses...the inept Padres lose their 9th straight...as they "improve" their squad by bottom feeding...the play station GM goes out and signs guys that other teams drop...turn away, they are hideous...again, thank goodness we don't have season tix...they have to get rid of their GM first, and right this sinking ship...or is that "stinking"...

Most teams get patsies to start off their season, not so with Boise St. and Georgia...and boy, the scribes hate the fact that the Broncos are for real...again...as they go down to Georgia, by a midnight train...and beat them Bulldogs...35-21...OK, northwest, you have your team this time around...

I thought I had seen it all...then I watched Lefty use a belly putter...something about this is all wrong...take you back a bit...but the USGA banned a croquet style of putter that Sam Snead used (how old am I?)...I can't remember why...and now, these yippy boyz, stick the putter stump into their bellies, to take the pressure out of their hands...well...I think it's wrong...dead wrong...Phil, tell me it isn't so...

We are back in OR. Why would anyone live in Texas? What a godforsaken landscape.
So, The Ducks. Well not as good as hyped by the press and fans. Their offensive line will improve but Golpashin a SR was a disaster.
Barner looked like he didn't want any part of the game. The Receivers dropped many to start and Thomas was inaccurate alot. Pressure may have played a part.
The Defense wasn't too bad. DeAnthony is going to be big time. He shouldn't have had to play RB because he is a better receiver.
Overall we looked like a team that wasn't really prepared. Mistakes always occur in first games but not that many.
The stadium is awesome and the LSU fans, though mostly arrogant and condescending, packed the house and were as loud as any Autzen crowd.
OR has to find a way to run the ball. We couldn't and that was the game. TE Paulson was supposed to be big this year. I don't think he had a catch in that game. We will find out just how good Chip is now.

Living in Texas is cheap...many PGA golfers live there 'cuz of the tax situation.
The stadium must be something else. Yup, the crowd sure sounded pro LSU...does anybody have a more arrogant crowd than Autzen?
As I said, that's two times on the national stage... the BCS is way down on the Ducks now...
