Big Day

And the Padres thoroughly destroyed the Cards...in ST. Louie...11-3 as Chase Headley has another big game and the off-maligned Pads are but a game away from a sweep...let's get serious now...a sweep this early in the season is near impossible...it does set the table for San Diego to have a huge opening day this next Tuesday...oops, against the bloody Giants...
OK, so what's going on?  The fact is the entire lineup is putting the ball in play....and a massive improvement in the catcher, Nick Hundley...the bullpen is still very solid...and I would lurve to eat my words about this team...my concern starts now, with the starters 3-5 having to show me...HOWEVER, the showing of Corey Luebke yesterday in mop up duty, was very impressive...he may be number 5...
It's a long season, but a GREAT START...Gilman....

The Big Dance...for the 1st time in this tourney it went to form...Butler in a rare return to the final game...hey, who woulda thunk that...and UConn, who hasn't been beat by anyone outside of the Big East...the form will continue...look for Kemba Walker to dominate and the Huskies win it...in a thriller...

Huge game for PDX today, hosting the unlikeable Mavs...Lefty in the hunt at the Shell in Texas...can Morgan come from behind in the Dinah Shore?  and...the CMA's tonight...gotta lurve your country music...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
