No Talking

This young lad was the back-up QB at Michigan....yup, the Wolverines...holding the clip board for Chad Henne...yup of the Miami Dolphins ...and the coach, old school...Lloyd Carr...yup, the legendary one...from Friday on, had the no talking gig going on the bus ride to the next game...try that on for size nowadays...I digress...Clayton Richard, brought to SD in the fan friendly Jake Peavy trade (sarcasm)...has been a great addition to a very tough starting group that exists today...and last night led the Pads to a 2-1 win at Seattle, going 7 innings...and kept the team in first...hoorah...
NBA...are the Magic that bad or are the Celtics that good?...embarrassing none the less...as the Bostonians are 3 up and a game away from a sweep in the elongated playoffs...today the Lakers try to do the same to the Suns, wait, Los Suns...
So you're my age and you adjust your grip...well, my good friends...it actually appears to be helping this young man and his game...
Tonight on the tube...a tribute to the infamous country group, Brooks and Dunn...it's a can't miss show...but, I recommend the taping of all TV to save yourself the countless commercials...
So much for the 16 year old's dream of making it to the weekend in the PGA tour...the boy from Dallas ballooned to an 82 after making the cut...WOOAH, I got bad info, this kid, Jordan Spieth is very much in the mix, shooting a 67 and is 6 under for the tourney...WATCH OUT...and on the other side of the spectrum and age...Ray Romano, shot a 93 in a charity thing out here at Morgan's Run....think Hank Haney can make miracles happen?  Let's see...1st Charles, then bye bye Tiger, now this Romano debacle...oops...
LPGA...do you know any of the gals left in the head to head match-up they are doing now?
And finally, there is a lot of growth in the idea of building the new Charger stadium just 8 blocks east of my condo...$$$$...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
